Norse Attack Map
-
For best experience, put up on a large hi-def screen with the room lights off and Wagner playing in the background, as recommended by a VP of a credit union.
About: Norse maintains the world’s largest dedicated threat intelligence network. With over eight million sensors that emulate over six thousand applications – from Apple laptops, to ATM machines, to critical infrastructure systems, to closed-circuit TV cameras - the Norse Intelligence Network gathers data on who the attackers are and what they’re after. Norse delivers that data through the Norse Appliance, which pre-emptively blocks attacks and improves your overall security ROI, and the Norse Intelligence Service, which provides professional continuous threat monitoring for large networks.

Would make a cool screen saver
-
Well, whoever's doing something St. Louis (US) ATM is also bringing my Firefox instance to its knees with that map.
-
From the thread title, I thought this was about Viking attacks.
-
Brian Krebs had an article a while back that listed a lot of maps like this, including this particular one (which is also my favorite, though it runs like molasses on any device I have except my home desktop)
-
Cool. Too bad I probably won't see anything happen locally, I'd leave it up on a screen somewhere to scare the locals.
Wait...
Damn it @cartman82, stop dicking around over there!

Looks like Novi Sad and Nis. I always hated those guys.

What am I looking at, and why is Seattle getting zapped with so many laser beams???

Remember when you kept asking about the consequences of global warming? Well, there you go.
-
Do I really need to remind you that Microsoft is located in the Seattle area?

ah. yes. that's the map that this one reminds me of!
-
Well, TIL that there's a lot of cyberattacks coming from Dubai, Riydah and... the Fiji islands?
-
Do I really need to remind you that Microsoft is located in the Seattle area?
-
No it's not, unless you're casting the world's widest "Seattle area" net. Microsoft's in Redmond. (They actually do have a couple buildings in South Lake Union, which is in Seattle. But 95% of the company's in Redmond.)
-
So what? Telling me where Microsoft is located doesn't tell me what the laser beams mean, so GOOD JOB ANSWERING THAT QUESTION GENIUS MAN.

For of all, this is probably the world's least accurate map.
Second, it seems to be approximating where the attacks are. If you look at the target Geo in the Live Attacks as it's scrolling by, it's saying it's in Lynnwood.
Then again, we all know how accurate GeoIP can be.
2) So what? Telling me where Microsoft is located doesn't tell me what the laser beams mean, so GOOD JOB ANSWERING THAT QUESTION GENIUS MAN.
It's a network attack map with a bunch of network protocols listed with colors under the ATTACK TYPES header. What the hell do you think it means?

I figured that might be it.
I was more pointing out that the page has NOTHING ON IT THAT EXPLAINS WHAT THE FUCK IT'S SHOWING OR WHY.
