I AM THINKING about BUYING A SURFACE book
-
It's Microsoft. They're usually obsessed with backwards compatibility to a fault.
-
Well, unlike Apple who seem to drop backwards compatibility at the drop of a hat.

Quite.
I guess it's hard to keep backwards compatibility though when you're a company who always reinvents things for the sake of it.
-
Though, from what I've read, Asus seem to be the worst of the bunch. You're practically guaranteed that nothing is reusable unless it's some kind of industry standard (like a USB connector).
-
I can, just it's not very stable.
But I have no problem using it with pen and touch screen on public transports, just that it's no longer a "laptop".

Wait until you see the price for Surface Book. $_$
Btw, my old notebook (by the time of Pentium III) have price tag about 1.3 times the price of SP3 i7-512GB model, so it's price level still feels good for me.

Does it run Linux? No? Good, this world can't handle both Blakeyrat and Linus
-
It probably will eventually.
You can run Linux on a Surface Pro, you know.
-
I only run Linux hardware so I'm no expert of Microsoft hardware.
-
-
I don't understand. Are you confused by the Windowsâ„¢ icon?
-
Maybe you could explain what "Linux hardware" is supposed to be?
-
-
You must be new hereâ„¢
Double quotes FTW!

I don't think my legs are long enough.
If this were an Apple product, you'd be told you're Talling wrong.
-
How many people think "I AM WAITING FOR VIZZINI!" when they read this thread title?
Oh, just me? Ok, carry on.
except now you do, too.
-
I might if I knew who Vizzini was. Now I'm thinking off Godot.

Sound familiar?

Ah. Yes. I'm terrible with names both in movies and in real life. Still, if you bring up waiting for someone...
