The problem is that none of the seven applications from liquor distributors have been approved, leaving 47 dispensaries without reliable product transportation. Current law states that no other distributors than ones in the wholesale alcohol industry can apply for the first 18 months of sales.

What they think will happen: People who use their phones while driving will stop doing that.
What will actually happen: People who use their phones while driving will spend more time distracted by the "proprietary gesture-based ‘Passenger Unlock Test.’" while continuing to use their phone while driving.

If you say so
There are only two points:
- The socket has plastic shutters for the active holes that won't open until the ground pin is inserted.
- The active pins on the plug have insulating covers so only the tips can contact the hot and neutral feeds.
It's not like electrical plugs and sockets anywhere else in the world can't do that.
I mean, anyone can do the second one at home with a bit of regular electric tape.
As for the first point, do the British have a worldwide patent on that? I might bet that shuttered faceplates cost a fair bit more than plain faceplates, and the UK only has them because of regulations.

My Mexican/English pidgin is very poor. There are far less Mexicans here than there are Caribbean Hispanics.
My Spanish was best right after I spend 5 weeks in Puerto Rico.
Sadly, I struggle with interacting with my husband in spanish so the kids cannot understand.
Other interactions in spanish go just fine:
Mami, de vuelta ese culo a mí.
Ay papi, toma de mí por detrás
¿Como eso, Mami?
Oh, dios, sí, Papi. This was how my daughter was conceived.

@pjh ugh.
In 2015, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta) filed a suit against Slater on behalf of the macaque
Fuck 'em. There's no legal basis whatsoever for their lawsuit. They have not been harmed and the monkey has no way of asking them to sue on his (her? its?) behalf. You can't just sue on behalf of someone else; you need some sort of formal, legal agreement with them in order to represent them. Being their self-proclaimed protector does not grant you the right to file lawsuits on their behalf.
-
@anotherusername That's the part I really don't get about this lawsuit: how did it not simply get laughed out of court?
-
@masonwheeler That's what they're appealing (the case being dismissed by the trial judge).

But it's the voltage which drives the current. And even with saline water the skin resistance does not drop enough for 5 Volts to be able to drive a dangerous amount of current through your body :)
