  • I'm amazed though how the cache bug jumbled the different text messages together, yet still managed to keep the underlying HTML/Javascript code intact.
    Unless that webapp is using some sophisticated ajaxy/xmlhttprequest method to retrieve the message text, that looks like a "computer malfunction" from an average scifi movie to me.

    Most routers are packed with more useless Javascript than TDF itself. But I would bet it's more along the lines of a scripting error that triggers a browser bug.
     



  • Given that the message ends with "have illegal hexadecimal digits", I'd say that somebody simply pasted that sentence to the WPA key text entry - one that expects the key to be provided as hex digits.



  • The real WTF is 4chan's /b/ (Or any other Nijura-style board for that matter).



  • /b/ and thedailywtf have a similar clientele.

    One is for general lulz, the second is for IT lulz. You have to be a pretty big internet tough guy if you're a /b/tard so an IT background is likely.
