Oh. It looks identical to a power cord in the US. I mean...the bit that plugs into the computer. But your post seemed to say that you should be putting the plug meant to go into the wall into the plug that hooks up to the computer, so it still comes across as gibberish.

The end of a PC power cord that plugs into the PC is the same everywhere. There's no reason to make it different. They'd have to build different power supplies for different parts of the world.
That applies for full-size computers. Laptop computers, of course, usually have external power supplies, and don't have anything resembling a standard power connector, or even input voltage or type (AC/DC).
