Hedgy want webcomics!

Oh well I guess your personal experience dictates the behavior of the entire world. Sorry, stupid me for ever doubting that.
What is this gibberish now?
But don't give these little "hints" that I'm an idiot without spelling-out why like you did at the start of this conversation, because you might find (if you dig into the matter) that you indeed are the idiot.
I wasn't hinting that you were an idiot. I'm happy to say that in the clear. I was hinting that things set you off for very strange reasons.
-
I was hinting that things set you off for very strange reasons.
You were saying the word "Junior" should have set me off without saying why.
I asked why, and offered a guess.
You confirmed the answer was because you have absolutely no idea what the word "Junior" in a name is used for because you're a fucking idiot.
Then I typed this stupid summary.
Now I'm going to mute this thread.
And you can die in a fire.
-
Ok God knows I hate Discourse, but see that little right-facing arrow near the top of every post? The one labeled "reply as linked topic"?
WHAT THE FUCK IS STOPPING YOU FROM CLICKING THAT!? Oh, right: the same mental retardation that causes you to post 437283 times about fucking const in C to an audience of hundreds of people and thinking ANY of them give a FLYING FUCK goddamned I hate you all HATE YOU ALL
Not really bothered about the off-topic, just pointing out the hypocrisy
-
just pointing out the hypocrisy
You forgot one:
Oh well I guess your personal experience dictates the behavior of the entire world.
-
calling a father's daughter "junior"
SE/WP suggests that's OK, as long as the father and daughter have the same name.
-
so to tell them apart you call the oldest "Senior", then "Junior",
You may already know this, but if you don't, you generally call someone the second instead of junior, if they're not a son/daughter. Typical usage would be for a nephew or grandson.
ETA: Oh, I see you muted the thread, so never mind.
-

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that you're so clueless about social conventions. In addition to "Jr" being common for males and uncommon for females, it's typically a boy named after his father or a girl named after her mother.

Since this thread was originally about webcomics, I thought it would be a good place for me to put my impressions of that grrlpower one so far. I'm a bit past the start of chapter 2 so far.
The premise is good, II like a lot of the characters, and there are some quite amusing parts; but Sydney or however you spell it is an annoying clichéd "haha isn't s she zany?" fucker. It's like a whole comic about <abbr title="hi every1 im new!!!!!!! holds up spork my name is katy but u can call me t3h PeNgU1N oF d00m!!!!!!!! lol…as u can see im very random!!!! thats why i came here, 2 meet random ppl like me _… im 13 years old (im mature 4 my age tho!!) i like 2 watch invader zim w/ my girlfreind (im bi if u dont like it deal w/it) its our favorite tv show!!! bcuz its SOOOO random!!!! shes random 2 of course but i want 2 meet more random ppl =) like they say the more the merrier!!!! lol…neways i hope 2 make alot of freinds here so give me lots of commentses!!!!
DOOOOOMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <--- me bein random again _^ hehe…toodles!!!!!love and waffles,
t3h PeNgU1N oF d00m">teh penguin of doom
-
yeah. the zany tones down over time. i mean she's still like that but the timing gets better and there's more seriousness.
although if you are looking for a great superpeople comic and grrlpower isn't c utting it for youthen give Star Power a try
-
i am still waiting for hedgy to read all of theses comics and report back with whose suggestions were the most / least asstastic.
-
I don't know if this really fits into the same type of comics as some of the others here, but I've been reading Pibgorn for years (and 9 Chickweed Lane, by the same author, though that's more newspaper-strip oriented and much more SFW). The art is excellent, as are the references to things musical…
-
i have it on good authority that she hasn't started any....
for shame!
-
Didn't she ragequit because boomzilla exists?
-
i think they kissed and made up.
-
It's really too bad that most of the archive of Nimona has been taken offline, now it's just a teaser for the book. Loveable story though.
Also, seems nobody posted Nedroid a.k.a. the King of bad joke comics. {Edit: PROOF}

LOL

We'reShe's taking a break.
-
Pibgorn
Thanks, just what I needed, yet another webcomic with years of backlog to catch up on.
-

I think he accidentally made some of those funny
or the really bad ones made the less bad ones seem tolerable in comparison.
-
also exiern and the last halloween.
-
-
exiern
hasn't that webcomic rebooted itself like 5 times since it started?
i seem to recall it resetting several times ad the author wrote herself (himself?) into a corner...
or am i mixing up my webcomics again?
-
or am i mixing up my webcomics again?
I think that must be what's happened. There is a reboot, but it's going slower than the original (which is still going) and is there to explore a different path.
-
Man, I have a bunch of webcomics to check out now. Goodbye, productivity.
I'm rather a fan of Demon of the Underground, evident perhaps as it's the source of my avatar. I think the art is some of the best I've seen in a webcomic, and you can't get a story element much funnier than a guy with telekinetic junk. Also there's a ferret! ^^
Despite said story element, I wouldn't say it's NSFW.

you are welcome!

For those who don't mind a cutesy horror comic:
The only bothersome thing is that it's a DeviantArt gallery - start from the end and work your way back to the first page (where the newest image is).
-
Awwwwwwww... how cute.
Hint: you can right-click the image in the one box and click "View Image". It's the full image.
-
-
you can right-click the image in the one box and click "View Image". It's the full image.
... in the same tab. Which requires clicking Back, which Discoreloads the entire page.
-
Not if you middle-click "View Image". (works in Firefox, never tried in Chrome)
-
For those who don't mind a cutesy horror comic:
I think I've seen that before. Kinda reminds me of minus, which was a pretty great webcomic in itself.
-
I think I like this one better, minus had a tendency to end in the weirdest of ways (see the comic about the balloon vendor).
It's a bit sad though that minus' original homepage dropped off the Internet, there were still some other comics going on.
-
middle-click "View Image". (works in Firefox, never tried in Chrome)
FYI: Chrome's equivalent of "View Image" is "Open image in new tab," so no middle-click necessary.
-

Laptop. No repro. (Did try right-clicking, still got Discofucked)

this wouldn't be a problem if you used a proper browser, like Chrome.
for chrome the option isn't "View Image" it's "Open image in a new Tab".
no discoreloading required.

:dhrome:

Firefox lets you open image in new tab by clicking the context menu option with the middle mouse button. This may lack discoverability.

It's middle-clicking, not right-clicking. Which might be hard on a laptop.I believe you can hold Shift/Ctrl while left-clicking the popup to open the image in a new window/tab, similarly to how you can left-click a link. But I'm not sure and I'm on mobile so I can't test.
Whatever.

Peter is the Wolf - note that it is Teh Furreh, sort of (not that I expect that to be a problem for you), not to mention even the 'mature' (as opposed to 'adult') version is pretty much NSFW. Actually pretty funny, though.
Speaking of furry comics, I am guessing you arleady know Dan and Mab's Furry Adventures, but WTH I might as well mention it. Skin Horse is pretty good, too, as is Gunnerkrigg Court.
And hey, Ghastly's Ghastly Comic (NSFW) has been updating again from time to time.
Hey, at least I didn't mention Collar Six (NSFW) or Kit'n'Kay Boodle (NSFL)... oops.
-
-
It's simply http://skin-horse.com and I would also recommend it. Features a talking dog and zombie as part of the main cast.
Only downside is that it has 7 years worth of daily comics in its archive.
-
And hey, Ghastly's Ghastly Comic (NSFW) has been updating again from time to time.
It has? Holy crap I need to check that!
-
And hey, Ghastly's Ghastly Comic (NSFW) has been updating again from time to time.
I classify that more towards the NSFL side though.
-
to Skin Horse. The creators are amazing at worldbuilding, characters, humor, everything. You'll be amazing how easy it is to gobble through the archive.
You may also want to look up SKG's (now finished) comic Narbonic at http://narbonic.com/ It has the "Director's Cut" going on, so each comic is annotated. If you like mad scientists and man-gerbils, you'll love the comic. It takes place in the same universe as Skin Horse (or vice versa, I guess).
Those two comics get you over a decade of daily strips.

Ghastly is still having problems with RSI and is short of time, but every once in a while he gets the chance to post a new one. Not often, but yeah, a few new ones came up last year.

Maybe, but a busticated link always seems weird.
-
Peter is the Wolf
Wasn't that on haitus for like, ever? Did it start back up again?
Ghastly's Ghastly Comic (NSFW) has been updating again from time to time.
Holy shit, really?!
-
Some that haven't been mentioned:
Akimbo Comics - Cynical comics on random subjects
Fisheye Placebo - Hackers in China. Great art, updates once or twice a year.
The Fox Sister - American soldier in Korean spiritual warfare; last update two years ago since writer got a job
Lovelace and Babbage - Ada Lovelace and Charles Babbage use the Analytical Engine to fight crime! (for loose definitions of "crime")
Megatokyo - One of the originals, updates sporadically
Rain - Transgender girl goes to Catholic high school
Steve Rogers' American Captain - Captain American takes a page from Harvey Pekar
Sunstone - Lesbians, BDSM, nerdery (deviant art gallery, so link is to first comic)
The Night Belongs to Us - Vampire x Werewolf (totally not lesbian Twilight)
Wilde Life - Man rents haunted house off of craigslist.
