Pasting an image in one tab's composer pastes it in all open composers
-
Seriously.
I'm going to post an image here; I have another composer open in a PM chain, and it has no image.
This is the image:
And switch to the imageless composer in another tab… and there's the fucking image I pasted in this tab's composer!
That image was the first result for a GIS for
an image
-
huh.....
confirmed. that's new.
-
-
-
…and the new lighter quote styles apply to oneboxes too
-
Clearly contrast is doing it wrong...
-
Well that's consistent, at least.
-
Apparently Jeff doesn't think that contrast with the background is important, just contrast with everything else.
Guess I'll be playing with CSS when I get home.
-
Tried to confirm with IE11 but can't even get it to paste the fucking image or even accept there's something in the clipboard.
Works in Outlook, so it's definitely in the clipboard.
edit: And I logged out of IE11, so naturally it's logged me out of Chrome on another computer.

Confirmed FF 38 Win7.
-
So IE11 just doesn't seem to support pasting in an image.
-
It's a Discourse thing
-
Of course it is. Chrome test their shit. Discourse, not so much.
-
WINK! <asshole is invalid>
-
Have you tried drag&drop?
-
Oh, for fuck's sake, it happens with drag-and-drop too…
-
At least it only uploads the image once. Or at least the src url in all the composer windows has the same id.
-
Ah, no - good thinking.
-
Yup! Does it in IE11 too!
-
Has anyone figured out if it works cross-machine yet? Someone could use (someone else's) Discourse forum to run a botnet!
-
Good question ...
Yep, works across devices!
-
And yes, I sent that screenshot from my phone to my PC via Discourse.

Discoclipboard?
