Mozilla / Firefox update (fixes 8 security holes)

  • As a lot of you seem to be using Mozilla / Firefox I figured a mention of the follwing news item wouldn't be misplaced:

    http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/pcworld/20050418/tc_pcworld/120480

Be sure to update to the newest version.

  • Thanks man, I wasn't aware of this update yet. Only recently updated to 1.0.2

Too bad they haven't found a way to block those annoying popups. Since
2 versions ago the damn things sneak past the popup killer.

  • In the upper-right corner of Firefox, there is a circle of gray dots
(which spin when the browser is working). Just to the left of
this, a symbol appears when updates are available. You can click
    on it to get them.

Seems to only report updates for plugins, though - I'm running 1.0.2.
and I see no mention of the firefox update, just a couple of extension.
