[Fix deployed] User names randomly don't get loaded when opening usercards
-
Broken:
Working:
Seems to be very random, to me at least.
(Looks like I accidentally changed the zoom level between the two screenshots, whoops!)
-
Repro steps (for me):
- Click on an avatar to open a user card
- Without closing the user card by clicking elsewhere, click on another avatar
When I do that, I never get the name. If I close the user card by clicking anywhere, then click an avatar to open a new one, the name shows up.

That whole thing gets chaotic when you open jellypotato user cards along the way, though. At least that's how it looks like to me.
-
You sure that's not just @boomzilla's usercard refusing to (sometimes) do its job?

I confirmed @ChaosTheEternal's method using your card as the first and his as the second.
-
It happened with many different ones. Not just his.
-
Looks like you're right, @ChaosTheEternal.

I just got it by jellypotatoing on one of @loopback0's avatars and then triggering his card from a different post.
- Click @loopbak0's avatar at post 9.
- Get jellypotatoed
- Click @loopback0's avatar at post 5.
- Repro missing username on user card.
-
So in true Discourse style I don't get jellypotatoed by my own usercard.
Can repro though - with bonus jellypotato if I log in as @discoursebot first.

Oh Belgium - I thought hand-crafting the mention would prevent an actual mention notification.
-
You probably need to explicitly break the @-mention then.
<a class="mention">@discoursebot</a>
-
Yeah, guess so.
-
Their parsing for notifications doesn't seem to care how things render either, I've gotten quote notifications when the nested quote is broken.

@discoursebot
<a class="mention">@discoursebot</a>
ah. i was looking for that.
*yoink*

More importantly, what's with the round avatar?
-
Discourse Default stylesheet. Because bug report.

Nice onebox there:
I prefer my images with non-empty src attribute, personally.
