    Oh goddess.... no! no! nooooooooo!

    :stuck_out_tongue:

that is going to play absolute hob with servercooties.com as people fight to be the first person to reach Editor status.

    :-P

  • Do the numbers seem appropriate?

  • Also...I've turned it down so it should only update daily now.

-shrug- belgium if i know. i mostly noticed i got the badgethen went

"Huh.... thought i have more definitions in there..."

then, because i'me easily amused and it's very errly in the morning after being up very late at night deploying code at work, i decided to "complain" about the badges in relation to my current side project servercooties.com

  • @accalia said:

"Huh.... thought i have more definitions in there..."

I looked for posts that were wikified and quoted in the OP. It's very possible that some stuff doesn't meet both criteria (but should).

  • sockdevs

hmm... that differs from how servercooties finds entries:

that site assumes all wiki'd posts other than OP is an entry.

not that it matters... but it is a difference. ;-)

Not bad numbers, but there are a few incorrectly awarded badges, and at least one extra.

Ugh, I hate :badger: s like these... They only reward quantity over quality.

  • mod

We may need to start enforcing quality control on the discodefinitions ...

  • That's probably overdue.

  • sockdevs

perhaps the newly crowned editors should do their jobs!

the ones that would be there if boomzilla's query was right. :-P

    -_-

  • @accalia said:

Yes - all zero of them.

  • sockdevs

but there are two of them. not zero.

sure the paperwork hasn't come through yet, but it will

of course, and it will be printed in three different inks, one of shich can only be seen by the light of a full moon.

What's really odd is that the current badges were awarded in two batches. I have no clue what happened there.

  • When I get a chance (may not be until monday) I'll dig deeper on what's going on with it.

  • Grade A Premium Asshole

Can we use them as our long name? I can have a lot of fun with "Staff Writer".

If you mean User Title, yes

You do have that ... And I thought you did when I checked. Hmm ...

  • Meh...they all aren't quoted or aren't getting listed. I'm just looking for wiki'd posts now. It's...better, but @RaceProUK has a writer and an editor badge. Close enough for now...

  • I have been promoted

  • IMO it should be like the attendance badgers where if you get the next badge you keep the lower one too.

  • sockdevs

i disagree. these badges are job titles, one does not keep one's old job title when one gets promoted.

  • They're not actual jobs though - just :badger:s which happen to have similar titles.

  • sockdevs

close enough for guvm't werk says the fox.

    :-P

  • sockdevs

I'm with Cali on this one (quelle surprise)

  • @abarker said:

I do now, but I was initially given the Intern. My thanks to whomever fixed it.

  • @HardwareGeek said:

It's my first set of badge queries. Hopefully they'll setting in over the next day or so.

I think the "revocation" query only runs once per day, so hopefully by tomorrow the extra badges will be gone. It seemed to me that sometimes it wouldn't save all of the settings correctly based on what I did with the dropdowns and checkboxes in the admin interface. But I'm not ruling out that I just messed stuff up and didn't notice.

  • :belt_onion:

I wonder if I will now be accused of trying for :badger:s. I am in fact just surprised this hasn't been defined yet. It's been in use since Apr '14! Well, mostly in /t/1000 it seems, that might explain it.

    I don't blame you.

With the changes we've made now, the wiki flag should be extremely reliable now, too.

  • What's up with all the moved posts? I'm getting lots of moved post notifications, but neither the notifications nor the targets of the notification links gives any useful indication of what's really going on.
