I love the Dutch translation of this forum... [:)]

  • But it just doesn't make any sense at some moments. Say, for example, I click on the options at the bottom. I get to see this:

U voegde mag niet bijlagen toe
U plaatste mag niet nieuwe onderwerpen

    U verwijderde mag niet plaatsingen

    U wijzigde geen plaatsingen

U maakte mag niet enquetes aan

    U stemde in geen enquetes

Well, I guess you need to be Dutch to see the non-logics in these
sentences. They aren't spelling errors, btw. It just makes no sense. It
    would roughly translate:

    You added not allowed attachments.

You posted not allowed new messages.

    You removed not allowed posts.

    You changed none posts.

    You created not allowed polls.

    You voted in none polls.

Oh, well... I like this forum in it's Dutch translation also bevause of
the "RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft:
RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE:
Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE:
Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft:" that
sooner or later becomes the title of any topic.[6]

  • I agree totally Koffie. Most software is written to be english anyway, so translations look funny most of the time...

    Drak

  • But at least the software should recognise the different translations for RE:... We're not getting RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: here all the time so why the RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: RE: Betreft: ???

  • Because of yooooooooooooooo!

    [:P]

    Drak

  • BINNED

Don't worry the Dutch in Discourse isn't that much better

  • Have you noticed when this was posted?

  • BINNED

Yes, ten years back we had a forum with crappy translations, today we have a forum with crappy translations.
