The only good thing with a 9 in its name is

(Can't tell if you're setting me up for a whoosh or if, you know, Ben L)
Maybe not the only thing

That's a number. I was referring to names that start or end with the digit 9 and contain only ascii letters for the other characters.

Some of my best friends are numbers with 9 in them!

The set of names (for things that exist) containing a single 9 and ascii letters on both sides is empty as far as I know.
-
"Plan 9 from Bell Labs" is one of them.
-
Spaces are not letters!
-
Also, your assertion of needing letters or both sides is not accepted: 9gag starts with a 9, and your original statement does not contain that qualifier, so I second the

At least it wasn't Plan 9 from Outer Space!
Also, why have one 9 when you can have two?

I don't see the problem. It's not like they asked for pages or anything.

Funny story now that 9gag is mentioned: they're an industrial scale plagiarism machine. They blindly copy all popular content from reddit, tumblr, funnyjunk, etc, remove watermarks, use a fake submission date to make it seem like it was posted there first, and censor any comments that might mention a rival website, and use hundreds of fake accounts to make it seem like it's actual users doing the submitting and voting whereas it's actually all controlled by admins.
And sometimes they fail badly at that. Example 1:
https://i.imgur.com/Q1HEI.jpgExample 2: in reddit's button, you can get a different colour next to your username depending on what time you click it (or gray if you haven't clicked). Naturally people there made jokes about it. Then 9gag reposted them but their users have no idea what the joke is about. Read these comments and cringe:

The predecessor game to:
is Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors.

Well the scrollbar on 9gag is just as broken as the one here, so it seemed like a good fit.

Duh. 9gag is just Yet Another Ebaum's World Clone. There's a million of them, of varying levels of popularity, all stealing content in the same way.

It really is the worst.

Hence the "no".

Here, you dropped these: :passport_conTROLL:

To be fair reddit has much of the same
-
The difference is that that's not Reddit's primary purpose. People upload copyrighted materials despite the site owner's desire.
The entire point of 9gag (and similar) is to steal the copyright materials and provide features to weasel-out of ever taking accountability for it. (For example, saying "it's community content" even if it was uploaded by one of their employees. Or just changing the page URL if there's a DMCA, hoping the complainer won't actually search.)
-
For example, saying "it's community content"
I suppose they say their servers are community-hosted as well, so they don't have the ability to delete files that shouldn't be there?
And their domain name is community-registered, so they can't be held liable for anything that the A record points to?

and a great game it is, although it could use the Flow system that VLR has.
Actually, I heard the iOS port added the Flow system, but removed all the puzzles from the game at the same time.
While we're on the subject of games.... Mighty No. 9 has to be mentioned.
