How the fuck has nobody noticed this bug yet?!
-
39023 posts or 39022 replies.
They're different things (OP is a post but not a reply).
-
And filed:

Looks like it didn't get a category, bug or otherwise...
-
Oh whoops. forgot that.
meta.d doesn't enforce categories like this place which makes me always forget about categorizing there.

I didn't notice because with short topics, where the OP is still loaded when in the topic, they don't show the summarize block and it says "# Posts", which is right, while with long topics where you would see that summarize block, I don't go look at the OP anymore.
I just realized that could be why the Discodevs didn't either.

Also, there have been how many other bugs for us to notice?
-
So you've distracted them from real problems with minutiae, eh?
-
To be fair, it's slightly more important than round avatars
-
It's a small word that obviously no one reads or they would have noticed it earlier. As opposed to trolling all of your users by mangling their self selected images.
-
it's slightly more important
How is it? As @boomzilla said - no one has noticed this in the like 11 months we've had Dischorse.
-
I can only think that "small" was sarcastic and hyperbolic. She was pointing out that this minor typo pales in comparison to features that are basically outright sabotage.
-
I was thinking more 'accurate info is more important that avatar corners', but then the round avatar thing doesn't bug me all that much she says knowing she has a Stylish stylesheet that makes avatars almost, but not quite, perfect squares
-
almost, but not quite, perfect squares
Almost, but not quite, entirely unlike circles
?
-
Pretty much, yeah ;)
Basically they're squares, but the corners are rounded. Like the compromise solution I suggested on meta'd.
-
It's more than a minor typo.
Discourse - for whatever weird reason - distinguishes between posts and replies.
TCoCDK themselves don't even seem aware of the difference.I actually feel like they should be more consequent and just remove "posts" from their application entirely - they seem to only be used in the data shown in the OP data bar and the elevator bar - everywhere else they only use "replies".
Also, an elevator bar that goes from 0 to n(replies) would make more sense than one that goes from 1 to n(replies) + 1
-
Not to forget, there's also this pluralization issue in the OP data bar:
-
It's more than a minor typo.
It amounts to an off by one counting error, either on the user's or the software's part. I almost care less about it than a menu covering up other menus. This doesn't really affect anything other than user COD.

Meh...probably. Maybe. I care less about that than removing actual useful stuff like avatar corners and columns of data.

I was wrong. The filtering tool also uses "posts".

Why aren't you guys giving me the pedantry badge for this bug already?
-
I blame @abarker.
-
I blame posting it as a bug. Now, if you put it in status thread or somewhere, I'm pretty sure the flags would be easier to attain.
-
she says knowing she has a Stylish stylesheet that makes avatars almost, but not quite, perfect squares
Well it doesn't bug anyone here as it's overridden back to square in site CSS.
-
This shouldn't even happen if you're doing i18n correctly :(

Is anything in Discourse done correctly? @CodingHorrorBot

How does it affect Call of Duty? Unless you mean CDO. In which case: For shame sir. For shame.
