Not-so-readonly?
-
Edit: This topic started life off in Meta -> Staff as a private log of when I'd updated Discourse.
It was moved to Meta since some others were interested in it. It is intentionally read-only to all but admins - start a new/old topic if you want to comment on a particular upgrade/post.
Nor I.
This confuses me. What exactly are the restrictions for that topic?!Or does Discourse not actually support read-only-by-level?
Or did @PJH mean TL4+ and not admin only?Or is EDIT not a WRITE action?
-
It's "closed" so TL4+ will be able to post. The terminology is a little off.
I believe EDIT is not considered WRITE. Just like you can Like stuff in a closed topic.

I see. I thought it was using some super-secret admin setting.

I've amended the OP.

That makes me wonder, though:
Are there topic trust restrictions that are as adjustable as the per-category ones?

Beyond closing and/or archiving (i.e. implicit restrictionto TL4+)? No.
