Font support for Shavian seems to be problematic, so let's try this:

  • Damn, that (the title) was what I was going for in my flag until I saw this topic.

    :triangular_flag_on_post:

  • Why is there an extra syllable in the topic title?

  • Regional pronunciation differences? Are you referring to the second schwa?

    Yes.

  • Fuck it....

  • Someone didn't get the joke (sql version)?

  • No, just no.

Why is it everything everyone promises to be "easier" makes me learn a whole new set of bullshit?

    the k looks like a d.
and the d looks like a backwards j.
    :wtf:
Why can't you just use the same letters and add some.

w is a double v, which v was a u when used as a vowel. So vvhat --> what, made all the fucking sense in the world, and gave us a shortcut to pronouncing it.

    So for things like oo, that's a long diacritic u. l (long diacritic)u s = loose, l (long diacritic)u z = lose.

    Then cake becomes kāk.

I mean, the chinese figured this out with pinyin how long ago?

    array = àrā

anything more than that, and we just simplify it.

  • Discourse touched me in a no-no place

http://www.i18nguy.com/unicode/andagii.zip worked for me (FF39.0a1/Linux), after download, install and refresh of screen:

  • I installed all the Noto Sans fonts, including the font that that text renders in on my dhromebook, but Windows 8.1 Chrome still shows it as boxes.

HA HA! Jokes on you! I procrastinated on the last flag until @PJH did his job!

  • Nah, I've had my dhromebook for quite a while.

  • sockdevs
