This one looks shitty even by Steam Greenlight standards... and not just because of the poo jokes.
TOILET DEFENSE - Just A Load of Toilet – 03:50
— Jim SterlingIs this really what you want to spend your $100 on? A one-note joke which, as Sterling points out, could just as easily be a single JPEG posted to imgur? Is trolling Steam Greenlight really worth the money?
'Cos seriously, I could do better than this in about fifteen minutes, using MS Paint and PyGame. The fuckheads who posted the endless waves of Unit Z asset flips that were everywhere in 2015 (and were still showing up well into 2016) put more time into changing the fucking marquee on that asset pack than this asshole put into the whole fucking game.

$100

@RaceProUK Oh... that's not the price of the game, that's what Valve charges the dev for putting a game onto Greenlight. Mind you, some of the devs have asked for that much (or more) for equally horrible games, but since Greenlight is just promotional material (trailers, demos, screenshots, descriptions, etc.), they only get to ask for money if it actually gets voted onto Steam by the Greenlight community - and while the GL voters seem to like irony, crass humor, and memes more than they do playable games, a joke this lame is unlikely to be enough to get it voted up.
OTOH, if it is voted up, Valve will surely put it on Steam, as they almost never interfere with the running of their own storefront. It would take something extraordinary for Valve to take action - a DMCA notice from a big-name source such as a movie studio, a death threat against Gabe Newell, the dev subpoenaing Valve for user information in a fit of insanity - and this wouldn't count.
So my point was that they "developer" had paid $100 to make a joke that could have just as easily been done for free as a Flash game on Newgrounds, or even just as a single screenshot uploaded to Imgur and then posted to /b/ (who would surely have loved it), with no real chance of getting anything back for it other than the bragging rights that he trolled Steam Greenlight - which is hardly an accomplishment given how many others have done it before, and done it better.
EDIT: I checked, and the Greenlight page for the game doesn't mention an asking price. Now, a lot of these kinds of 'games' go up for free, which only makes the whole thing even stranger to me, but the dev will usually put the "Free" or "Free to Play" tags on the page if that's the case, as it can affect the voting (e.g., jerks are more likely to vote for jerks if the result is a free game, or if they can get Steam trading cards for it).

Some time ago, Valve released a TF2 item that cost $100 and allowed you to show a notification with a short text message of your choice to anyone who was playing the game at the moment.
I was playing the game when that happened. The next few hours were a constant stream of "witty" jokes and puns popping up every 10 seconds. Does that answer your question?

@Tsaukpaetra said in Dumb and Random Videos Thread:

Something like that, but not exactly:
the engine draws extra fuel from an unintended source...
In a highly worn engine, gases can blow past the sides of the pistons and into the crankcase, creating excess oil mist, which is then drawn from the crankcase into the air intake via the breather. A diesel engine will readily burn this oil mist as fuel, since engine oil has similar energy content and combustion properties as diesel fuel. The extra fuel causes the engine revolutions to increase, causing still more oil mist to be forced out of the crankcase and into the engine, and a positive feedback loop is created....
A runaway condition can also result from oil supplied by failure of the oil seals in a turbocharged diesel engine, from overfilling the crankcase with oil, or certain other mechanical problems

I would not want that to happen to me. OMG I can only imagine...

Painful to your bank account, anyway. Although if you can get it shut down before it runs out of oil, you may be able to avoid expensive damage. Obviously, nobody in that video managed to do that.

Well, at least one did I think.

- Block the air intake. If you can do that with something that won't get sucked into the engine, no damage (from shutting it down; damage may have already been done by the runaway).
- CO2 fire extinguisher into the air intake, no damage.
- Dry-chemical fire extinguisher into the air intake. Allegedly, this completely clogs the air filter and blocks the airflow; supposedly, none of the chemical powder gets into the engine, although I'm not entirely sure that statement is trustworthy. If it's true, no damage; if not, it's still probably better than a whole new engine.
- Some diesel engines, particularly those operated in industrial areas, are equipped with air shut-off valves for exactly this purpose.

Hmm.
Will suggest a fire extinguisher to be stocked in my dad's aging truck then...
