High precision print errors

    ---------------------------------------
Alert on MYSERVER at 23/11/2006 12:44:26 PM
The server failed to complete 2.000000. print jobs.

This error commonly occurs when the printer runs out of paper or becomes jammed.
If this happens, clear the problem at the printer, and then restart the print job.

How would I be better off if only 1.984623 print jobs had failed?

You'd at least have .015377 of a successful job (which will probably look something like streaks of lines in whatever color(s) your printer prints in, or just a normal document that only got 1.5377% printed).

  • Put some paper in so it can print more than the first 1.5% of the first job?

  • Maybe if it ran out of paper after printing 3 pages of a 4 page job it would say it failed to complete 0.250000. print jobs

Nope, it's always an integer.  It only records failure of whole jobs, to 6 decimal places.

I second that. Preferrably, use whole sheets.
