[SUGGESTION] TDWTF link in header?
-
Continuing the discussion from How do I get back to the actual site this is a forum for?:
I've been annoyed by this for a while now. How am I supposed to get back to the site once I'm in Discourse? Clicking on the header image, which is the obvious link, only leads you back to the forum's "home". And from there... I'm stuck. Does Discourse really think it is more important than the site it is supposed to be a forum for? Enough to hijack the "The Daily WTF" logo to lead to what.thedailywtf.com instead of www.thedailywtf.com?
Never thought about it before, but it could be useful?

Obligatory "there's a front page?" joke.
EDIT: wait, what site is this a forum for? Based on the content, I'd guess Discourse Complaints Center.

off to meta.d with that idea. it's a great one!

I was busy drafting the post there, but then I came across
https://meta.discourse.org/t/adding-additional-pages-and-links-in-header/20452
Which led me to
https://meta.discourse.org/t/how-to-add-external-link-on-top-menu/9508
Which seems like it'd fit the bill?@PJH?

window.onload = function() { doLink(); var timer = setInterval( doLink , 1000); }

There's better code further down ;)

How am I supposed to get back to the site
Um, that's been forum site standard for a very long time now.
And, so it's broken? Just means that it's always been broken for every forum for a site, everywhere.
Something that's annoyed me for a long time.

for misattributed quote.
Nah, just kidding But you did mess up the quote ;)

Not on http://forums.thedailywtf.com/Forums/ it wasn't - top left link takes you back to the main site.
