Ninjedits and image resizing

I swear this image loaded the size you specified, then went large and then went back to the specified size. @discoursebot

    Yes yes, I'm a cyber-hedgehog, so I'm Doing It Wrong™. Still, it's a bug, and I'mma reportin' it.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Make a post with an uploaded image but don't post it yet
    2. Change the width/height attributes of the image
    3. Submit the post
    4. Wait for your cyberparts to ninjedit the post (in my case, it's the MobileEmoji signing)
    5. Watch the image change size and become a lot bigger!!!111oneeleven

Weirdly, if you ninjedit manually, the issue doesn't occur; it's only when it's done 'behind the scenes' the issue rears its head.

I'm wondering of my cyber-ninjedit is getting mixed up with the rebake…

  • How about manually ninja-ing from a different browser window?

  • sockdevs

    Hmm…

OK, turned off my cyber side…

    Ninjedit in other window…

Nope, only happens when my cybers kick in.

New post to trigger the cybers…

Interesting… it didn't ninjedit the other post… oh well, not important.

So, the problem is only caused by cyberninjas?

Oh, OK, now my cybers have ninjedited it… and the bug happened again!

right. he's active on this forum too... Sorry for the accidental summoning!

  • RacePro, when your cyberpart doesn't find any emojis to replace, shouldn't it just do nothing, instead of a ninjaedit that only adds an html comment?

  • sockdevs

It does that so it doesn't process again.

Having said that, I can probably do something better…

    <!-- Emoji'd by MobileEmoji 0.2.1-->

  • sockdevs

…which I have now done; the emoji module no longer needs to sign every post

  • Cool, how are you tracking it now?

  • sockdevs

I'm not; now I only post an edit if there's an edit to make ;)
