What I did was click 'Reply as new topic' on this post, which isn't linked to this thread at all. No post is. Discourse decided to shit the damn link in there, not me.

Here's a repro (at least it works in Chrome).
- Click "reply as new topic" in "does this still work".
- Type "I'd so dearly "
- Collapse (don't cancel) the post.
- Navigate to "Anyone got a magnifying glass?"
- Click "replay as new topic" on post 9.
- Don't notice bug and continue creating new topic.
- ????
- PROFIT!

- Click "reply as new topic" in "does this still work".
- Type "I'd so dearly "
- Cancel the post.
- Time passes ...
- Navigate to "Anyone got a magnifying glass?"
- Click "replay as new topic" on post 9.
- Don't notice bug and continue creating new topic.
- ????
- PROFIT!
