Discourse is a barrier to discourse

Probably needs a new computer.
I was hoping the video was going to be of that German kid who smashed his keyboard while screaming at it.

As someone who works on a Python site that has to deal with plenty of Unicode, I can say that I hate it, and my site always works.

Go for war if you can make a difference.
Make peace if you can't.I am not going to judge people and their circumstances. but society should do it best to help those who wants it.
Unfortunately we are living in a harsh society. That fear and reject anything that is different. those kind of movements would not have been started. If wasn't pushed to a corner and invoked a intrinsic instinct of survival. Decision you make when pushed to a corner may not always be rational and what's best for you.

I knew from the still what that was going to be. Guy's not very smart. What happens if he broke through the ice? Then he has to figure out where the hole is, which admittedly probably isn't as hard in a small pool as it would be in the ocean, but it was pretty stupid.

at first I thought that he is just stupid and unlucky. but you changes my mind he is just stupid.

A pool that size, the entire sheet would probably break up, rendering the issue moot.

Well, Debbie Downer, thanks for ruining my fantasy of him demonstrating evolution in action.

I like the bit after he fell in:

yeah, it was pretty obvious at least one of them knew what was going to happen.....
-
I like how they sincerely without sarcasms ask him "is it cold?"

any more than I understand "the deaf culture" and people who refuse things like cochlear implants for their children because they insist on limiting them.
"Deaf Culture", in this context, sounds a lot to me like the "unix philosophy" - a bludgeon to resist change.

Someday people will realize that Alpha is a better architecture than x86! It will catch on!

You'll have to convince HP to actually manufacture it first. They discontinued it about 10 years ago.

My lecturer at university was very sure it would happen someday. I always thought that you'd need to have no idea why products succeed to think that seriously.

Loading this topic caused a WSOD. Then on a refresh it loaded but ~20 posts back when I only had 2 unread posts.
The title seemed pretty apt.

I get that all of the time...not the WSOD, but it's 80/20, the page loading where it should versus the middle of the thread.
