It would be funnier if discoursebot actually logged its invocations, so you could get a short summary of latest bugs that affected users.
Something like "@discoursebot Posts just disappeared for X hours" to log a bug, and another command to get the last 10 with dates and times.

It's a code library, obviously it's not following any Best PracticesTM.
What Best PracticeTM do you think I wasn't following when I created it? I'm not aware of any other SteamLibraries it needs distinguishing from. Certainly none are in my solution.

I went back and read it, as far as I can tell there's nothing wrong with it, and you haven't bothered to explain what you think is wrong with it.
Also, you somehow declared it "awful" despite the fact that you haven't seen a single line of code that uses it. Or a single class in it. You know absolutely nothing about it. Which kind of backs up the "being an asshole for no reason" theory.
Also, you somehow called-out an inanimate object for not following some best practice (which one specifically, you won't reveal). Well of course it didn't. It's a bunch of code.
So I'm just going to call you an idiot and unsubscribe to this thread. Next time, just take the "fuck off" option in the first place and save me some time.

The answer was you didn't specify the namespace more. How would any given SteamLibrary distinguish itself from any other given SteamLibrary? com.blakeyrat.Steamlibrary, for example.

CompanyName.TechnologyName[.Feature][.Design]
...Which he still hasn't done.

You don't have to change your package structure when that happens. It's still unambiguous unless you sell/lose your old domain name and someone else starts using it. Oracle still distributes software using com.sun packages, oh noes!

How does what work? The Onebox? Any link to another thread on this site does it automatically, as well as sites like wikiepdia and whatnot. I have no idea how they make their shit work nicely in a onebox, which I can freely admit now that I don't do websites anymore :)

I've sworn I will never get another wireless keyboard after dealing with this. Yes, fresh batteries. Yet it just stops for a couple seconds every once in a while. Drops chars. Adds extra ones. Very annoying when you shift-click a link and the shift got dropped.

I have an old Logitech Bluetooth keyboard that does this, it's almost unusable. Which is pretty much why it's collecting dust right now.
I'll have to see what the model number is when I get home.

My keyboard only does this if I have a flash drive plugged into the USB port adjacent to my keyboard receiver.
I had to give up on my wireless mouse at work. I'm usually one of the early ones into the office, and when nobody's here it worked just fine. But once everyone was in it got really flakey and I had to have the receiver less than 3 inches away from the mouse for it to work. I assumed it was interference with someone else's wireless keyboard/mouse however I'm the only one with wireless (easy to verify, there are about 10 people in the building if everyone's actually here at the same time), so my best guess was malfunctioning cell phone Wi-Fi or something equally strange.

My entire office got wireless keyboards, mice and headsets all at the same time. 50 or so people all on one floor. I'm surprised they worked as well as they did, which was mostly pretty good for the mice and keyboards and pretty poorly for the headsets.
Mine are now all wired, because it's very embarrassing being on the phone when the headset keeps dropping out and crackling, I got a nice clicky keyboard instead of the mushy wireless and the mouse middle-button got very unreliable. Work, not work, work, not work. I think that's a cheap button problem, not a cheap wireless problem, as the other buttons work fine most of the time.

I'm not sure there's a one-size-fits-all solution. I kind of like having a corded mouse at work, because I tend to lose things that are not attached. I have a cordless mouse at home1 (which I haven't managed to lose, yet), and it's fine, except that it's old and power-hungry — it eats batteries for breakfast, lunch and dinner. No phone is good.
1Only because I bought a used laptop on eBay2, and the seller included the mouse (but not the dongle needed to make it work with the old, non-Bluetooth laptop).
2Bad idea. The power supply went south shortly after I bought it, then it was stolen when my house was burglarized.

They do actually have good cordless keyboards. I really liked my MS Elite bluetooth one, except it put the Ins block in the wrong shape. I stopped using it because I had bad luck with BT dongles--I had three die over a couple of years.

I have resolved my issue with the keyboard. I'm still a terrible spellar and type too fast to be accurate without proofreading but dropped characters will be a thing of the past!

i actually have several of Logitech's keyboards and all of them have it the right way around (except for the ultra compact bluetooth one i use with the crap tablet when i'm on the road with the robotics team. I don't bring my surface with those kids because they will break it. i bring the $125 tablet that i don't really care when it gets broken because it was only $125 new and a replacements like $50 these days (it is utter crap though. only gets used when i'm on the road with them) and that's because the ultra compact one is missing the insert block all together (but is still better than the onscreen keyboard.

I used to have a Logitech keyboard. I still have it somewhere. It was cool, with custom backlighting and like 3x as many G keys as that one. It was also squishy and lame.
Swapped to a Corsair K70 (probably red switches). Next time I format, I may start doing development on my PC again. My laptop is safe from lame squishy keys, because Lenovo. Logitech hardware is fairly good, but I've found that I just generally prefer Corsair.

I don't believe XArmor exists anymore so the price is going up. At the time they were the only manufacturer of no-frills wireless mechanical keyboards with Cherry Brown (read: safe for office eardrums) switches.

will have to remember that if i get a mechanical for the office. i'm rocking a Logitech K800 there right now and it's been very dependable (so long as i remember to charge it regularly. the backlight drains the battery like nobody's business, but it's also essential for working at 0700 in the winter when you like to work with the lights off.
