Programmers testing -》 signatureguylabs for playground testing and bots
Just need to be registered to post, read by all.

-
Try again, too many of the people using the bots aren't programmer testers, this isn't better than just using programmer testing category
-
A specific bot category for bots is much better than the basic category.
-
Not if it can't be used by humans to summon.
-
OK, I agree with you...something isn't right about the permissions. I thought you meant something else.
-
Nope, permissions.
Bot category is for longer term testing than onepost, that way you don't need a new thread every hour.
I still think it should be called signatureguylabs for whatever our next abuse is too.
-
Ok, we currently have
programmers_testers
andbots
.Are you saying that isn't granular enough for that whole part of the forum? If so, I'm open to suggestions...
-
The current implementation seems to have changed. The category description says TL2, which seems difficult to get bots up to. Or does being a member of one of the groups get around the TL issue?

dont need tl2 on account if it is in bot group. confirmed as @codlnghorror
-
TL2 requires:
visiting at least 15 days, not sequentially
casting at least 1 like
receiving at least 1 like
replying to at least 3 different topics
entering at least 20 topics
reading at least 100 posts
spend a total of 60 minutes reading poststhe only thing @codlnghorror hasn't done is visit 15 days. All the rest of that crap was accomplished in 1 hour.
-
TL3 is:
must have visited at least 50% of days [out of 100 yes?]
must have replied to at least 10 different topics
of topics created in the last 100 days, must have viewed 25%
of posts created in the last 100 days, must have read 25%
must have received 20 likes, and given 30 likes.*
must not have received more than 5 spam or offensive flags (with unique posts and unique users for each, confirmed by a moderator)
must not have been suspendedoh hey, don't even have to have created your own topic? Hell @codlnghorror is ahead of the game! He's got 10 responses already.... Just need to log him in for about 45 more days and get/give a few more likes.

I get the impression that Security starts off with
Deny All
withAllow XXX
overriding it. Any exception in the latter set wins.
-
Was it like that inititally? I'm TL3 (I think - whichever one lets me mess with titles) and I couldn't reply until you added me to the group.

It's changed over the past hour or so since I created it.
Pass 1:
programmers testers
+ TL0
Pass 2. Createdbots
and added them
Pass 3 - Added TL2You're able to post because of pass 3.
-
Ah-ha - that'll be it.
-
Here are the other bots I know about:
@AnonymousTDWTFer @SummonBot @MottBott @LikeBot @discoursebot @sockbot @signatureguy @CodingHorrorBot
-
And @MarvinBot pending @Arantor having the time to crack on with it.
-
I think I've got most of them now...
-
Now summon bot just needs to read the bot member page. . .
