Quotes, links and newlines combine inconsistently

Enclosing a line with " turns it into a quote, but it doesn't work on a new line straight after a link, or if there's not a new line after..
It also breaks the link, but that might not be a new one."This is a quote"
This is a link
"This should be a quote""This should also be a quote"
But it isn't."And this quoted link is broken"
This quoted link not is [broken][3]
Discoursistency.
Even better - the quotes using the " character work when nested within a quote but the [quote] tag does not.

they sort of changed/fixed half of the quote inconsistencies, so you'd need to bake a new set of quote tests to see what's still broken.
