@izzion The one thing I'll give it from the Job Actions trailer was that it looks like MAYBE the faerie actions are on less of a delay now? Though I can't say that'll make much difference for me because I almost never use the damn thing (though I also don't run any current super-high-end content).
I'll probably go back to leveling AST or wait for Sage to switch my healer class if it doesn't pan out. I've leveled enough classes at this point, what's a few more?

Given that the ally in the trailer wasn't taking damage, we didn't see what happens when the fairy "autos". And given that the autos and the lack of queue cancelling is what causes the delay to begin with, I don't have high hopes.

I have all of the current jobs (other than BLU) at max level. Recently, I've been healing AST, dpsing RDM or DNC, and tanking either DRK (newer content) or PLD (older content). I may actually go back to SMN (the original class for that character).

@Tsaukpaetra Why are there two timestamps off by 2 seconds on the first one?
That image is from the secondary NVR, the difference is the buffer and processing delay.
It's having trouble staying connected to the new one, though (the higher resolution is... Taxing) so I'm not sure what I'll do about that...

I main DRK, DPS as SMN (though I've been levelling DNC and am at 75 mostly so I can complete all 4 ShB role quests and get the title), heal as SCH. I've also got GSM and MIN to 80, WVR to 71 and am working on BTN. I aim to eventually max everything but that's gonna be a LONG ways in the future (at least it gives me a reason to keep playing?)

Hm. Maybe WD drives have an expiration time. This other one I use for backups on my Windows machine doesn't seem to be behaving well either. Sucky transfer rates. I know the wire is good because I just used it with my Zalman drive and it flew.

@Parody I probably won't have much to do with 2e until whatever the 3rd game terns out to be - should Owlcats decide so. I do feel nervous about -10 penalty. Would Haste - which I use often - become almost useless then?
Dunno about the new action mechanics. Would sneak attacks become even more crippling? I mean, MAP plays against that, but RNG hates me - I'll be chopping air and enemies will technomagically roll their 18s and 19s for those :)

In practice the -10 isn't that bad because there's plenty of other things you can do with your actions. Our group's Fighter Raises his Shield as a third action, my Barbarian tries to Demoralize or Trip, and so on. Moving is also common since most NPCs (and PCs) don't have the ability to do Attacks of Opportunity.
For primary spellcasters, most spells take two actions to cast. Shield is a one action cantrip now, so that's a popular third action.
Would Haste - which I use often - become almost useless then?
Haste gives you flexibility. In 2e it gives you an extra Action that you can only use to Stride or Strike. Now you can move before/after doing your other actions or take a chance on that -10 attack. (Hey, 20s happen!)
Dunno about the new action mechanics. Would sneak attacks become even more crippling? I mean, MAP plays against that, but RNG hates me - I'll be chopping air and enemies will technomagically roll their 18s and 19s for those :)
Rogues do less precision damage than before (1/2/3/4d6 at 1/5/11/17th level). Characters also tend to have more hit points than before and the new death mechanic means you aren't likely to die immediately if someone attacks you at 1 HP.
How they'll convert it to a video game is hard to say. :)

Sounds fine for turn-based. The advantage of being able to move before casting, for one, is clear. Real time, however... means more micromanagement. Video games like to spam enemies, so RT is a time-saver. WotR really takes the cake with Defender's Heart fight (demons going all-out on Kenabres tavern). It literally took more than 2 hours straight in turn-based. Dunno how tabletop module does that. Anyway, about five minutes in RT...

While I haven't played Wrath, I do have the PDFs. That battle appears to be something they added to the video game.
Typically in tabletop you'd be assigned to handle some small area of a siege or large battle while the NPCs handle the rest offscreen.

Interesting. In Poland, the second meaning is a very common word, while the first is literally only ever used is mathematics.

Installed a newer version of Debian to my newtwork drive on Sunday, after I decided to swap the SSD in it. The installer froze just after booting from USB, with the Syslinux credits line halfway printed on the screen.
Troubleshooting time. I tried:
-
Detach new SSD - Nope.
-
Reset BIOS settings - Nope.
-
Detach network cable - Nope.
-
Reseat RAM sticks - Nope.
-
Remove one of the RAM sticks - Nope. (And the motherboard BIOS does not seem to have any kind of memcheck tool. )
-
Rewrite USB stick in DD instead of ISO mode - Nope.
-
Use Ubuntu Server instead of Debian? - Nope.
-
Use a USB2 port? - Will not show stick in bootable options.
-
...Use a USB2 stick that I managed to scrounge? - Bingo.
I spent 3 hours on this. A motherboard from 2019 that'll fail after a second when booting off USB3?

So I'm just going blowing raspberries at it since it's working enough for the stupid New DVR and isn't dumping files onto my NAS that nobody can read. (yay seven hours of troubleshooting).
