Weather wtf
-
Not in the normal sense of wtf, but I had the ac on and got it down to about 75, weather app claims it's 71 out so I figure I'll turn off the ac and turn on the fan...
It's been 30 minutes and the temp in my room is now 81 and went from 40 to 60% humidity.
Is the local weather app lying, my thermostat (and ac built in temp), or is some blackfuckingmagic happening that I don't understand where 75 indoor + 71 outdoor equals +10 degrees and +20% humidity indoors?
/cranky and hot and tired rant. Not quite a blakeyrant

Some people cook at higher temperature. one person from game of throne series is coming to my mind. I wish I could post one MEME, but it is not available.

An indoor space is a mostly enclosed system. Due to insulation and such, there are often more ways for energy to enter a building than to exit (such as sunlight on a window). This would explain the increased temperature. As for the humidity, you don't mention what the outdoor humidity is. However, since a running AC tends to reduce the humidity in the space it is cooling, I am not surprised that the humidity would go up when you turned off your AC.

This post was mostly made in the cranky time of the evening - though at midnight I wouldn't expect a temperature jump like that. The outside humidity was apparently about 60%, while the indoor humidity was 40%, which I suspect is the real reason why I noticed the temp change so significantly.
