Mobile replies don't show who they are in reply to
-
When viewing on mobile, it shows how long since the post was made, but not who the post was in reply to. Leading to confusion in who the poster is talking to.
-
Not a bug, by design -- there's no room to display that on the mobile side, and mobile is designed to be simpler and contain less info.
As mobile phones get bigger (I pray for 5" screens to become the new minimum) we might be able to do more here.

Are you shitting me? In portrait I have like 3-4 inches of width, but the top of each post is completely empty. But your fat banner for the site logo doesn't go away when I'm scrolling like the address bar does.
-
Fuck it. I'll use the desktop site on mobile and deal with the clipped input box for replies. It's less annoying.
-
Should be relatively OK in landscape mode, but you'll obviously want to rotate for replies because Android.
-
Sorry, but this is 100% discourse, not Android. I also never use landscape.
-
What I meant was, on landscape with the keyboard visible there's a tiny sliver of basically 80px of content visible on Android.
Anyway, if you feel you must use the desktop layout on mobile, my recommendation is to browse in landscape and compose posts in portrait.
-
Your site isn't built for landscape in any way shape or form, why would I change the native display flow to be something that counter intuitive?
If you haven't looked recently, the blue banner covers 1/3 of the page in landscape, and something like 1/10th in portrait
