Spoilers

  • As of 26 May '14, we now have
's.

    Simply wrap whatever you want spoiling in

.

    This will blur whatever is within the tags.

    1. Hovering the cursor over the content will slightly clarify it.
    2. Clicking (or tapping on mobile) it will remove the spoiler.

    Currently

    • oneboxed items cannot be spoiled
    • links cannot be spoiled

    NB: This has only been confirmed as working on Chrome - it won't work for uses of Firefox or IE.

    Easiest way to explain this would be by example:

    <details>
       <summary> Text to display immediately as the prompt</summary>
    Text to hide until the line above is clicked
    More text
    And more text
    </details>

    Which produces:

    Text to display immediately as the prompt Text to hide until the line above is clicked More text And more text
    ---

    Stick the whole block in a <blockquote> to make it more visible as a spoiler:

    Text to display immediately as the prompt Text to hide until the line above is clicked More text And more text
