Footnotes/hyperlinkgs not ignored within code blocks

Continuing the discussion from Formatting bugs with intervals and hyperlinks:
Start a fresh post. Copy-paste the stuff between the
<hr>
's - it'll do.
Some text before a code block explaining the following example
[code]
[Example link text][1] because this is what my previous bug was about [1]: http://example.com
[/code]
And some text after a code block explaining the problem in a bit more detail
Bug: Using CtrlL (Link button in editor probably does the same) add a hyperlink to "text after" in the example.
Expected: The (example) link in the code block should be ignored
Actual: The (example) link is pulled out of the code block and placed at the bottom with the second link created, ruining the example in the code block.
Bug discovered while creating this bug report referenced at the top of this post.

Oh you are talking about the behavior of the CTRL+L link insertion not ignoring previous overlapping duplicate markdown links that happen to be in a code block. Sorry, I misunderstood.
