In standard English, yes. However there are nominally English speaking (not necessarily as a first language) parts of the world where people tend to put spaces in odd places, like before punctuation.

I'm guessing you never pasted URLs and/or smilies and/or other markup into "smart" software that insisted on including punctuation along with the adjacent construct? :D
Plus, "unusual" isn't "forbidden", and in edge cases it might even be more aesthetically appropriate. YMMV.
PS Note that i didn't include the comma within the quoted text ("forbidden,") -- so much unusual pseudo-English from me that the poor software has to deal with! ;)
