What will baby's name be?

  • This isn't a huge WTF, but it's cute. I just registered at ABC.com - the form asked for my email, DOB, and password. I get this confirmation email:

    Dear null null,

I want to call my kid null null.

  • I get emails once a month from a certain discount hotel reservations website that begins:

    Dear, NULL

  • As much as names like "Null Schwartz" amuse me, you know the poor kid would have an awful rough time in school.

    "What's your name?"

    "Null"

    "What does null mean?"

    "Zero."

On a similar note, I know a programmer who named his kid "Remmy".  I always wondered if it was some how related to the REM style of comment delimeter. Which brings me to this comic:

Nice! :) Today, I'll start "commenting" uninteresting things around me here...

  • Major Major Major Major!

  • Réné is a French name.  Remmy might be it's English distorted equivalent..

  • you're right.. kind of. Its French, but doesn't seem to be related to Rene (at least as far as i can tell)

This is one thing where VB has the C syntax languages beat. You just need the tip of your middle finger to do a ' gesture. It has the added benefit of unintentionally getting the message accross to the recipient, too!

  • can someone explain the joke in this comic strip? 'cos i really don't get it. But for some reason I still find it funny...
