The beauty of Google's advertising service...

  • I was replying to an email about LEGO: Star Wars, when I spotted this in the sidebar:

Thats all good and nice, but I wonder just what sorts of favours they are offering...

  • I don't get it.  Never heard of party favors?  Doesn't every party supply shop offer "favors?"

  • I would wagor they are offering the party variety of favors.

  • The real WTF is the OP. :-)

Based on your use of "favours", I'm guessing that you're not American.  Maybe this term isn't used internationally.  (I wouldn't know myself.  I have limited overseas experience.)

Party Favors are the little gifts that you give to people attending your party.  New Year party favors, for example, would typically be hats, noise makers, etc.

  • Seems an odd use of the word favo(u)r. It's certainly not used in that
way here in the UK. My first thought of what a "party favour" was was
as some sort of sexual innuendo, or going to a party you don't want to
go to because your friend didn't want to go alone.

Oh you crazy Americans and your non standards-compliant version of the English language! :-)

  • you're not looking for a lego AT-AT by any chance?
