It's been made official. There are now only 8 planets in this solar system:
Pluto has been officially declassified as a planet.

Pluto's been fired? What did he do this time? Was it because he was not competent enough to be with the existing team? Or there are too many like him floating around and the team can't afford to pick all of them so might as well drop him out too...
BTW, that really is a lot of books...

Actually, for many public schools, this will just mean that they don't need to update their textbooks...

Most of the people still considers their school book as bible for anything. Now we need to change their the most trustworthy asset. Will it be easy to convince little kids that whatever was there is not there now? If they believe this then will they be able to believe on the other things written in their books?

A criterium is that a planet should dominate its orbit.
Despite being p***y-whipped by Charon and crossing Neptune's orbit, Pluto is alone.
I think it should remain a planet even with the new definition.

Even if it is unfair to call Pluto a planet and those dwarf planets not, I don't think they will find a attourney to handle their case.
Pluto is a planet and those other objects are dwarf planets. Why? Because we say so. It's an arbitrary distinction anyway.
