April Fools

  • Winner of the 2016 Presidential Election

So, in the spirit of April Fools today, I printed out the following notice and taped it to the office shared printer.

I didn't really expect much, maybe someone trying a command or two and walking away embarrassed.

When I got back from lunch, there was a crowd of about 7 people gathered around the printer, shouting at it and pressing various buttons.

Of course when I saw this, I nearly keeled over laughing, and the crowd finally put two and two together and converted into an ad hoc lynch mob.

Did anyone else have fun today?

If by "working" you mean eating 3GB of my 3.2GB of RAM, followed by printing one or more lines of text and then exiting.

By "working", I meant eating 3.1GB of your 3.2GB. So fuck you, it isn't working.

  • There was some great gems in that, but for some reason

No. It was a Bank Holiday over here. The only one I did spot was too close to be the truth, and something that the government would do, to be funny.

You don't feed it often enough, then.

Comes a time when something satirical is accepted all-to-easily as plausible.

    It's called Poe's law

Today, when I arrived at my desk, there was a wooden skewer sticking out of my keyboard, with the severed head of a marshmallow Peep impaled on the end. The perpetrator's identity is as-yet unknown.

I've made powerful enemies at the office.

When I arrived back at the office from my lunch break, I found another Peep on my desk. This one had been blindfolded with what appears to be a miniature cigarette stuck where its mouth would be. It had been mutilated and wrapped in tissue.

  •  It'd tie a peep to a Popsicle stick, put a piece of tissue over its face, and hold it under the running water fountain.

I would-- except that that's not torture. Oh well.

Begin to worry when they show up in your bed. Minus the stick.

Then worry where the stick went.
