Hello Community Server. We missed you.
-
Suggested reading, since - looking at the source - you missed at least one method of markup.
-
Wow it really didn't like that. Lots of duplicates for some reason.

Wow, I thought you did that.

Wait... that's the complete source?
Oh boy, I think @codinghorror is gonna flip some tables now. Namely, the ones in TDWTF Discourse database.

You can't
raw
the topic, you have to link to an individual post.

Discourse has, hands-down, the buggiest parser I've seen of any kind in any software.

I'm not quite sure what I voted for ...

I voted for the one with the most @mikeTheLiar s in it.

I wonder... if you would create a nick like "Keith greets @mikeTheLiar", does @mikeTheLiar get a noticfication everytime you post something from that account?

Usernames can't have @ in them, unfortunately.

Usernames can't, but Names can...
All I need to do is to enable the
display_name_on_posts
option and we're possibly open for more abuse...
-
Why would that be abusable? User names are treated as plain text, yes?
Filed under: Unicode fun, here we come!

I'm not at all sure what exactly is/how it's displayed when that option is enabled.
Experiment time - I'll set it for 5 minutes or so and grab a screenshot...

Me likey. Crap is visible. Literally.

Hmm - didn't realise screen-cap/copy/paste would work... Saves me mucking around with imgur all the time. Not that the quality leaves a lot to be desired...

Fucking Unicode, how many fonts do I have to install?
Filed under: Fucking hell, why does my crap come packaged in a generic box?

Hmm - like the user icons (just staff at the moment) - doesn't appear in quotes.
Not quite sure of the utility of leaving it enabled, unless...
Anyone around good with testing XSS exploits want to see if that field also needs checking?

Yes, I love that it works this way. The image quality thing is pretty weird, it's blurry which looks like bad anti-aliasing or something, not the kind of quality reduction I'd expect from aggressive image compression. Other than that it's a great feature.

Looks like a possibility. I've reported privately to @sam. Disabling
display_name_on_posts
now just in case...

It looks like it has to do with scaling. Try clicking on the image, and you get a full size copy that looks a bit crisper.
-
I don't know if it's just me, but @PJH's fonts look like they have bad kerning.

I'm guessing (hoping?) it's an artefact of the compression algorithm when pasting directly into the compose box...
Pasting direct:

Click on the images to open them in a (i forget the name of them) floating window - the images in your screenshot aren't 100% scale.

No... Lightbox?
And even in the lightbox (if that is the right term) they're still not 100% - you need to click the download link (which should open in a new window.)

That's the one. Escape usually works.

The text in your images is still shorter (but the same width as) the text in my image. And I stand by the fact that it has bad kerni ng.

It also seems your font is antialiased as if all the colors in each pixel were in the same place.

Is @mikeTheLiar a meme yet?
I'm also still looks for the Esc key on my phone.
-
I think it's getting there. But for true memeness it needs to include the reaction at the end.

The reaction from @mikeTheLiar?
-
Yup yup. It wouldn't be a whole meme without that visceral reaction at the end.

No, every mention isn't right. It needs to be rate-based. Insert the rage if @mikeTheLiar is mentioned more than a certain number of times within some length of time. I don't know what the threshold should be; maybe we need a poll for that.
