House For Sale
-
Here's a house for sale around the corner from me:
Close up of the sign...
Sorry if it isn't immediately evident - the sign is in front of the foundation without a house on it, not in front of the house on the right. The house in the middle and the one on the left are both on the street behind this one.
-
perfect for a house turtle!
:-D
-
I fail to see the WTF here.
You can attest by the places where that hill isn't covered with snow that the previous owner had the place redecorated.
-
-
You could argue it's missing a hyphen. That's... that's about all I got?
EDIT: also why were those photos taken hours apart? Presumably days-- it looks like the black sedan got covered in snow between them.
-
The black SUV also wasn't there before.
I guess it's likely the owners were on holiday or something when the first pic was taken; the second was taken shortly after they returned home.
-
In the first photo, do you see the concrete to the right of the fence? That's the foundation for a house. How "move-in ready" is that?
-
I have to assume the WTF comes because the sign is for the lot on the left half of the top picture, not the house shown in the bottom picture.

*looks again*
…

-
Oh.
I guess.
I rate this WTF 3/10.
-
I don't want to sound too much like @blakeyrat but are we expected to be mind readers here, rather than people explain WTFs?!

Right. Thanks.
edit:
Reply-to wasn't intended to be to @Yamikuronue's post. Just the quote.

Hey, I got it right away.

Hey, I got it right away.
Can you tell me who your supplier is? My supplier can't source a reliable mind-reading module for me, no matter how hard he tries.

I'm sorry, but I think you'll understand that information can only be passed around using special encryption.

Either I'm being a total Belgium or I'm whooshing harder than a hurricane, but I can't get any sense out of decoding that base64 block.
-
Well, naturally. It's well-encrypted.
<Also it was sourced from /dev/urandom
-
Would it be too much to know the cryptalgo and passphrase?
-
That wouldn't be secure, now would it?

Sorry, it was hard to get a picture that showed both the foundation and the sign. I got clear sign pictures driving by, but I had to wait until the weekend to get a halfway decent picture of the whole scene. If I took a picture from directly across the street, the sign wouldn't be readable. For those who don't see it - the "Move In Ready" sign is in front of a lot that is obviously months from having a finished house on it.

Sure, but when it's built it'll be move in ready.
-
Sure, but when it's built it'll be move in ready.
So.... what house wouldn't be move in ready as long as you were allowed to add the condition "but when it's XXX it'll be move in ready"? Ready means ready now, not ready some unspecified day in the future.
-
I assume the sale will be conditioned on the original owner completing the build. That is, they're selling the promise of a move in ready home, as opposed to just selling an empty plot.
-
Well, yes, but that isn't as funny.

Has you know who commented on this update to yourself?
Blakey? I don't think he's noticed yet
