also GIS for "Confused Fox" brought up this image:
[/spoiler]EDIT: i'm not even going to pretend to understand why that comment about GIS wasn't spoilered but the image was....

I don't have a meta.d account to ask over there, but I want to make sure I understand. The stars in the topic list are going away. The only reason I have any topics starred (and I only have two) is so that I can find them in the topic list. One in particular, I can't rely on searching for the topic, because the name changes every five minutes; the star is the only way to find it.
So
weI absolutely, positively need the classes @sam was talking about and CSS that makes them visually distinctive. (I changed "we" to "I," but doubt I'm the only one that wants it.) I definitely prefer site CSS rather than personal (though I'll do that if I have to).

Personal override is not always an option.

Huh? I see no likes on your posts over there??
-
......
Really? Cause I do.
Of course I do now realize I linked the wrong post. One moment.

Hmmmm, now your posts over there show their likes? It must be because I do not have an account over there?
I have no fucking clue what it means. If you look back over my posts where I completely trashed Discourse, but did so in a well thought out way, you will find that he has liked most of them. I don't know if he does it so he can find them again (because their search sucks) or just to be a douche. Maybe it is a "kill them with kindness" approach? I have NFC. I don't think it really means anything...

I left the old tab open, so here are the two snips:
Discoursistency!

I once asked the same thing for a post on this forum. This was his reply:

Welp, Oneboxing posts is stupid as usual since he replied to that further down his post but whatever you can find your answer there.Filed Under: The Discourse approach of replying to multiple things works against its own design... fascinating! | Can I actually Onebox later parts of his post?

The DiscoDevs were talking about removing that tab though. They were talking about having an equivalent (well, Discoquivalent) Bookmarks tab that would show both bookmarked topics and bookmarked posts.

you mean /t/1000 ...
maybe they should just display topic ID's

Well, in terms of "Favorite," the question kinda makes sense. And it's an old question.

The tab will be remove by default, so we'll be able to turn it on here. The tl;dr is that if you use stars to find the Likes, Status, etc. thread today, you'll be able to do that in a slightly different (but probably pretty close) way to now. The process for setting up a new thread for that will be a little different.
