Scary if true

Right, because the bank obviously won't cooperate with the government...

I heard the eye in the pyramid on US dollar bills is an actual functioning eye.
-
Paging BuzzFeed...
-
The pyramid imbues it with power, obviously.
-
I don't understand what the problem is? Why would it be bad if the serial codes were recorded?
-
My bank, at least, runs the cash through a counter at the teller station if you go to the bank. I figure it records the serial numbers, too.
It should be possible, too, for both ATM and the counter. I was at a healthcare conference and they were showing off their mass document conveyor/scanner that:
- Reads documents of varying size and varying color
- Reads right side up or upside down
- In any orientation (including like 39°)
- Identifies folds, like a corner being folded over and stops for correction
- Identifies each document by type
- Extracts numbers from the document for export to an ERP application
- Stores the image
...all of that, at 4 pages per second.
Should be a snap to count money, check for forgeries, and extract the serial numbers, even at--what--30 bills per second?
Oh, wait, we don't have to speculate. They're doing that, at 1600 mixed bills per minute:
-
Because it's, like, this big government conspiracy! The Man is, like, trying to keep us down, man! We gotta stand up to the Man, tell him we're not gonna take it anymore, man!
</hippie>
-
Scary because...?
You want to hear something REALLY scary? Whenever you enter a building with a doorman, there's a man looking at you. Sometimes you have to give him your name and tell you what company you're visiting! OooOOOoooOOO spooky!
(Once the scary man insisted that I wear a sticker with my name on it, EXACTLY LIKE A CONCENTRATION CAMP JEW!)
-
-
You want to hear something REALLY scary?
You are so dated.
Today, low-light + IR hi res (1080p at least) cameras at the entrance take your picture and run facial recognition from 100 meters and iris scan recognition against government databases of known criminals--from 32 feet away. Camera systems exist that can read your fingerprints at 20 feet.
32 feet: Iris Recognition: the New Fingerprinting?
2 meters: AIRPrint performs ranged fingerprint scanning, won't let the terrorists win
100 meters: Nighttime Face Recognition at Long Distance: Cross-distance and Cross-spectral Matching (PDF)
Now that's spooky.
-
They caught a serial killer in San Antonio, like, decades after he was inactive with those cameras! Pretty soon they'll be expanding that to the rest of the country and they'll use our phones to track us while we drive and if you speed the suits will show up at your house and take you away!
-
I think his name was Jack the Ripper or something. It was, like, totally freaky. Like, how did they even KNOW. Now they say Jack the Ripper is DEAD! And he never even got a trial!
-
Now that's spooky.
... because?
Do you people have any actual reasons, or is your every action dictated by vague senses of unease?
-
is your every action dictated by vague senses of unease?
I heard there's no such thing as piles; a vague sense of unease (and possible bleeding) could only be due to abduction and anal probing by aliens from Space. Or was it from Mexico, or maybe Syria? I've been made to forget.
-
Like seriously, I don't want the bank making sure I'm not getting counterfeit money, because I heard that if you have some, the government will kindly replace it after asking where you got it.
-
Someone needs to tell these volunteers they are wasting their effort:
-
So the moron wants to "start a rumor".
Starting a rumor that has existed for decades and is partially true. Good job genius.
-
I see it more as he's just trolling stupid people
-
-
I heard there's no such thing as piles
That can't be right; Discourse is a huge pile.
-
It's well known that people are putting cameras and fake sliders on those things, and they haven't even figured out how to make a keypad guard (even though people can still interpret your movements, which is why I "press" extra keys with those things).
-
Once the scary man insisted that I wear a sticker with my name on it, EXACTLY LIKE A CONCENTRATION CAMP JEW!
I didn't know your name consists of digits only!
