@rc4: Not cool.

@accalia: , who on earth cares? It's a raisin joke, and I made it for raisins.

not that one. the one i reverted.

?
Everyone uses in place of :nazi: as in "Spellar "

Yes, you might have an issue with it, I don't.
Why should I care?

Because you aspire to not be an utter ass?
I never said that.Although I don't aspire to be an utter ass, I do accept that I can be an ass à gogo at times.
-
I never said that.
Hence the question.
look. as already stated i have an issue with the use of that word in any sort of "jokey" context for various reasons, not the least of which is the history of the use of that word and i do not wish to make light of the events of that war.
Can we just drop the discussion? shouldn't it be sufficient that I disapprove of the usage of the word in the titles of my own threads, titles that are inevitably tied to my name, regardless of wether i was the one that wrote them or not.

This was something I was supposed to just magically know before now?
and i do not wish to make light of the events of that war
Laughter is the best medicine, I'm sure that the coughzies would have loved being ridiculed and having their name be used in a disrespectful manner! Oh wait...
Can we just drop the discussion?
Sure, but don't publicly call me out next time for something that I don't know.
I would have been more than happy to oblige without arguing if you had sent me a PM that went like this:
"Hey, I don't really like the coughzies being joked about. I took that out of the title edit that you made to my thread. No hard feelings though!" and I'd be all "oh, alright, no problem, sorry"
-
coughzies
i see i have been less than clear in my objection...
i don't give a flying pair of dingos kidneys if you use the word. use it however the flip you feel like it.
My objection was to the implicit attribution under my name.
yes my edit history is public, and yes any tl3+ person can edit titles, but that's still my name there under the title.
That was my objection, nothing more, nothing less.
I would have been more than happy to oblige without arguing if you had sent me a PM that went like this:
I see... I owe you an apology then.I should have contacted you privately first.

Okay, I guess I can kind of see that...

Which one, for future reference? (honest question)

Which one, for future reference? (honest question)
both, but while i have issues when others use it it is their words and their choice. I may not like it but they made their choice and i'll not impose my beliefs and morality on them so long as they are not misattributing the words.
if you had made the same comment as a post, in "my" thread or elsewhere, i would have been equally upset, but as it was attributed to you as your words i would have left it alone.

Look, can we just cut to the chase and get an Official Rulebook Of Interacting With @accalia, so that those who still bother know exactly how not to step on your toes?
-
I think it'd be easier to add Greasemonkey script that at the end of each post, adds the line "Sorry @accalia, didn't mean to. Won't happen again, promise!"?
Sorry @accalia, didn't mean to. Won't happen again, promise!

That reminds me a lot of being married.

Official Rulebook Of Interacting With @accalia
Sure:
- Don't try to deliberately annoy me
- Do not attribute to me words that are offensive that i have not said.
- This includes messing with quote tags as well as title edits
That's about it.

-
That reminds me a lot of being married.
I feel bad for you that your marriage was like that.
OFC even with a tolerant spouse you can take it too far, such as when I got new license plates that could be read as "for Dizzy", and when I remarked such to the DMB clerk, I got a punch in the arm for my troubles.
-
I feel bad for you that your marriage was like that.
It's a joke, son. Of course, like most jokes, there's a kernel of truth inside it, enormously exaggerated for humor. (Unfortunately, toward the end it was even worse than that, but, well, the fact that there was an end speaks for itself.)

High on the list is people asking stoopid questions like 'what annoys you?'

Presumably it'd need to be a subscription service, otherwise you'd miss all of the updates.
