Windows Snipping Tool doesn't work on Metro apps (and a cat)
-
Erm... the entire post ended up in the title... so yeah... that's pretty much it I guess...
So here's a cat:
-
Start the Snipping Tool and the app.
When in the app press ctrl+print screen.
Select the area as normal.
-
Came here soley for the cat and was not disappointed.
cat/10 would cat again.
Also: Metro Apps are for casuals and snipping Tool is for advanced Users. You are clearly doing it wrong.

If I summoned that bot he would say that I am doing it wrongtm.
This way is the more correct way, I'd say.Filed Under: Also, I rarely use bots to say messages, sorry..I am oldfashioned and rather post messages myself :D

TRWTF is ever using metro apps for anything except to change the ~3 system settings that seem to be in the PC settings app but nowhere in Control Panel.
-
Can you use the Snipping Tool in the split mode thing, with Desktop on one side and the app on the other?
Or is that the thing that doesn't work?
-
I didn't try the tool in split mode, but then I was on a multi-monitor set-up.

Oh, come, come. Have you not magically discovered the undiscoverable keyboard shortcuts for those? Keyboard shortcuts make your life much better. Or maybe Powershell. Yes. Powershell. prolix-command-name -with-many -verbose-but-mandatory -in-order-to-be-useful -options: that's the ticket. But it's all good because macros.

I think people like @antiquarian would agree!

I don't understand the relationship between the two clauses of this sentence.
-
Works:
However, the selection frame doesn't appear while selecting in the Metro area.

There's this thing, and then the other thing, and that explains it
-
...except for the part where multi monitor doesn't stop you being able to use split mode

And?
