Enjoy reading through incorrect overly verbose code and meaningless unit tests? Come work at Qualtrics!

So you just need to be able to provide a single true bit as resume, and be able to write unambiguous assertions in natural language.
Ah wait. Actually sorry, no. That test code isn't all that wtf. A few too many sugar f, maybe, arguably. maybe.
-
So, um, are they closing the business? Because last time I checked,
typeof(eng)
would probably not return"smart"
unless you really fuck with your Javascript engine innards. On the other hand, maybe that's what they're looking for...
-
Ah yeah - that means something. And I kinda doubt they're trying for meta there. But I'll stand by that test code not being all that wtf-y.
Not sure yet about meta tho. "There is a bug in the code under test", might be fine.

What font is that? Courier New 4 lyfe!

Away with you, heathen! Consolas is where it's at.

What font is that?
Almost certainly Myriad Pro, but it’s not easy to tell from the photo.

expect(...).to.be.true;
I've never seen a Jasmine test written this way, and having a keyword as a property makes me feel like one of my white friends just told a racist joke in front of one of my black friends who they just met.
I would have expected (based on the Jasmine code I'm looking at right now):
expect(x).toBe(true);
This is because I fancied taking pedantry to a new level.
-
I use Papyrus for code and MS Comic Sans for comments.
-
This is because I fancied taking pedantry to a new level.
I appreciate that, but this is code written/edited by a marketdrone.
Criticizing it is like going to a children's art show and criticizing their brush technique.
Retarded children.
With no arms.
-
Why use two separate fonts when you can have both at once?

I take it retarded children with no arms are not supposed to have heard of Courier New 4: Lyfe Edition.
-
I'm not above making fun of retarded, parapalegic kids.
I just thought you should know to what level you're sinking: Bort level.
-
Actually, that's because that's a Mocha / Chai Expect-style test.
Not saying this isn't silly, just that it isn't that .
-
I just thought you should know to what level you're sinking: Bort level.
If I haven't hit lava or R'lyeh, I haven't sunk far enough.

Back to the cringeworthy advert, it seems that the only required qualifications are to be "smart".
I'm not a javascript dev but I still managed to decode that, so I'm off for the interview...Recruiter: Tell me about your most successful javascript project
Me: Doesn't matter. I'm smartRecruiter: Err, ok. So tell me how many years javascript experience you have
Me: Immaterial, cos I'm smartRecruiter: Ummm... can you complete the programming scenario for me, please?
Me: What is all this shit? Your job ad specified "SMART"! When do I start?
-
I'd read the OP, but he forgot to paste the image directly again. Oh well.
I use Lucida Console for things, but I've mostly settled on OCR-A Extended for programming, because it doesn't make my cow orkers' minds detonate.
