To you middle-clickers - notification menu
-
Is it just my system(s) or does the notification menu now bugger off when you middle-click a thing in it?
-
Windows/Chrome, does the same thing
Does not on Android/Chrome though
-
if by bugger off you mean it closes itself., yes it does that as it opens the link in a new tab. is that new behavior?
-
is that new behavior?
Yes.
First thing on a morning I usually have a few PMs, replies and mentions to look at. Middle click-opening 5 or so of them used to be easy. Now it's
- Click to open
- Blue number disappears
- Middle click link
- Menu disappears
GOTO 10
-
Menu stays open for me. Win7/FF
-
Yes.
huh.... bugger.
never noticed that on the notifications thingie. but as i routinely can go down the street for a cup of tea and a donut* while i wait for https://what.thedailywtf.com/my/notifications to finish loading i really should change my browsing habits i guess.
* that's not much of an exxageration. 30+ seconds are not uncommon load times for that page for me, i seen 120+ somewhat regularly too.

Generic additional repro confirmation (Chrome 43.stuff, Windows 8.1)

I bickered 13 COMPLAINs to a new topic: Bicker bicker bicker bicker bicker

Started happening to me on Win7/FF today. Sounds like a cached JS file expired and was reloaded.
And, of course,
-
@PJH could you report on Meta it's not just Chrome? I don't have my password on me and I CBA to create a new one.
-
Weird.
I just cleared my cache, hit F5 and middle-clicking still doesn't close the notifications.Win7, Firefox Developer Edition v41 (Yes, that's the browser I use for anything but dev)

I just cleared my cache
and it stills closes on middle-click. Go figure.
First time I've went to Preferences/Options since it's now open in a tab instead of a dialog.
Just another step towards becoming Chrome, I guess.

Any Windows+Chome verify fixed over on meta.d?

No love for Ctrl + Left click.
Some people use touchpads, you know?

speaking of which, my current touchpad doesn't support two fingers to scroll

For me, it's three finger tap.

Do they delete (or set private) the topics now? Wasn't closing enough?

Being able to ctrl+click is important, so here's another thread:

Yes.
Wasn't closing enough?
apparently JDGI that a bugtracker should not have any bug report removed, even if it was an invalid bug, for history. a proper bug tracker is history, not a forum...

that too.
