The sound of cheetos crunching, then being brushed off man-tits...
Super funny. That's a blakeyrat let's play video waiting to happen. Especially like the Windows command prompt in a game heavily promoting Linux.
-
I can only assume that's a setup for then showing off how much better linux is... but I'm pretty sure that's giving them too much credit. Also, the way that guy stands all the time is hilariously out of place.

Despite it already being pointed out in the video, I still think it's incredible that a "game" (for lack of a better word) specifically designed to teach linux skills is actually showing instructions for Windows.
Under linux the command should have been something like
ip addr show
or (if you're working on a scrummy old system)
ifconfig -a
-
Isn't it odd that someone would show a Windows console in a game designed to teach Linux?
much?

At least they didn't use an IP address from Numb3rs' CIDR block...
(From [here][1])

I was shocked the first time NCIS used a real IP address. I mean, sure, it was 192.168.0.4 but it was a real one for a change.

Have they implemented that one person-one keyboard policy yet?
-
That hasn't been an issue for several seasons, thankfully, but no formal policy on it. The fact it might actually need a policy is worrying though...
-
Apparently, they have a time machine, too.
-
And a DHCP lease that's 3 days, 12 hours, 1 minute and 1 second

If you're using DHCP to do effectively static IP address assignments (but without having to configure each system by hand) then long leases make sense.
-
I was more referring to the "1 minute 1 second" bit.
Have clarified that.
-
Ah, was just assuming that that was the time left and was just some software being excessively accurate, with the actual value being happenstance.
-
Maybe it's like Mod DB's download counter, where it shows "1 download today" if there were no downloads today.
-
That's so you don't feel like so much of a loser, Ben.

Also, in game, the command is given as
ipconfig \all
. The player types it properly,ipconfig /all
.
