Cheating cheaters cheat

STOP ALL THE POLITICS!
It turns out Tom Brady knew about "deflategate" and lied to the NFL commissioners!

That's quite a topic derailment. we need to get the mods to move your post.

Pfft. Ruin the joke.
-
Fuckin' cheaters. I hate those guys. Suck it @chubertdev.
-
I didn't want this important topic to get lost in flighty nonsense about British elections.

Pfft. Ruin the joke.
Those grapes are, indeed, sour.
I didn't expect @boomzilla to actually move the posts.
I heard about that at McDonald's yesterday at lunch or maybe breakfast and I was all "yeah, but who cares?"
-
The sad thing is the Seahawks fucked up that game so thoroughly that they can't even claim cheating by the opposite team as an excuse.

I thought it would be funny / amusing because:
Pfft. Ruin the joke.

True, but how many times can these guys cheat and not get booted from the league? Meanwhile, Pete Rose continues to be denied. I remember LOLing when I saw this commercial:

I consider gambling on the outcome of a team you're playing for to be above and beyond the call of regular cheating. Rose deserves his ban, even if anyone can prove he never bet on his own team.
I wouldn't complain about the Pats, or any portion thereof, getting sanctions, though. Except inasmuch as I'd hear about it endlessly from Facebook friends who despise the team.

Yeah, the only bet you should be allowed to make, if any, on a match you're closely affiliated with is that you/your team will win. And if you're the referee you really shouldn't be betting on your match at all.

A nearly-immediately-obvious reason you shouldn't even allow that is this: relatively-poorly-ranked team A goes up against high-ranked team-B, causing long odds that team A will win. Then both teams collude for B to throw the game.

There's no evidence that he bet against himself or tried to throw a game or anything. He definitely deserves to be in the Hall based on his play.

Did anyone really believe he didn't know?
-
I didn't, but as a Seahawks fan I'm not exactly neutral.
