When Salesdroids learn new words

I don't think that word means what you think it means.....
@raceproUK may find this interesting

@RaceProUK may find this interesting
I have it on good authority she does ;)No hedgehog shirts though
-
What's the actual shirt design? Unless it's something that has nothing to do with furries, it's probably intentional.
-
it's a bunch of animal themed shirts. so yeah unintentional.
did make me go when i read it though.
-
"Fuzzy Wuzzy was a Furry" sounds like they knew what they were doing.
-
If you knew what
yiff
stands for, you wouldn't use it like that
-
yep. that's the factor!
note. unless you really want to see it do NOT GIS that word.
-
note. unless you really want to see it do NOT GIS that word.
And if you do GIS it, for Chaos' sake, DON'T DO IT AT WORK; we're talking SMSNSFW
-
Is it something other than fursuit sex?
It still looks like they're targeting a specific audience (people who know about furries) and including thematically appropriate wording. After all it wouldn't make much sense if they presented "Fuzzy Wuzzy was a Furry" with the tagline "BAZINGA! It's a very furry sale"
-
Which word? WootBot? Woot? oh... yiff... yeah, don't GIS for it.
And hanzo'd

Look up the definition ofyiff
, then try again

Ok so I went to urban dictionary
1) (noun) Sound supposedly made by mating arctic foxes.** 2) (acronym) (or more backronym) YIFF or Y. I. F. F. - "Young Incredibly Fuckable Furry" 3) (proper name) YIFF sound server. Program for Linux to help handle audio. 4) (noun) More or less (usually more) sexual act. Commonly used by furries, usually denotes standard intercourse but may denote any kind of sexual behaviour between any type and number of parties (imaginary anthro creatures, humans, animals, even inanimate objects like plushies). Antonym: Yerf. 5) (verb) Like in meaning 4, "to yiff". 6) Furry (or otherwise) artwork depicting yiff as in meaning 4. 7) Expression of joy (by furries) 8) Non-invasive question about sexual feelings/will to mate.
I didn't know about 2 or 3, but everything there still basically supports my point, which is that they're promoting their furry shirts with a furry slogan.
-
They're not furry shirts; they're shirts with animals on them. And that's why their use of
yiff
is wrong ;)

No,, their use of yiff is wrong because it's a stupid word

I think this image adequately covers their choice of words:
-
yep. that's the factor!
note. unless you really want to see it do NOT GIS that word.
You know, you could have stated that in the OP.
-
I should have put my seal on that! Losing out on all the royalties...

Is it something other than fursuit sex?
It's just fursuit sex.
I don't think usage of that word is all that weird for Woot. It's not like you saw it in the New York Times or something.

Ok.

That article is from 1946, BTW.
I'm going to go fur out on a limb and suggest that nothing in that article had anything to do with furries, though.

According to our resident furry expert, neither do the shirts on woot.
