Online ordering

Tried to order a pizza from Papa John's website. I had enough points to earn a free one, so I set it up, hit the order button, and drove down to the place, where they didn't have my order.
Oh yeah, I went through this a while back and forgot about it. Their website can't handle using credit cards as the "payment" method for $0.00--oh, but that's not what it says, you just get a "your card was declined" error! You have to choose cash as the payment method.

Allowing the user to even select an improper selection is soooooooo bad, but I see it everywhere. It's so annoying that UI/UX developers pay no attention to this.

That's quite metaphysical. What would be the preferred payment method for $0.00?

Like I said, you have to choose to pay cash.

That's Papa John's take on the issue (which I guess is pertinent when using their website) but I was asking the question in a broader sense.
My preference would be barter. I would happily exchange 0 eggs that our chickens laid for the free pizza.

but I was asking the question in a broader sense.
Well, I don't know how much you can. Sure, I'll trade 'em 0 Faberge eggs for the free pizza, if they want, but in the end I suppose it's going to depend on the seller. I actually don't know if Papa John's is TRWTF or if Visa is.

bitcoins because metaphysically that what it's worth.

Try it with a non-Visa next time.
Although I'm curious as to how that could possibly be the problem.

Funny/sad thing is that one of the first eCommerce sites was a Pizza place (PizzaHut?) and in 20 years, not one of this sites have evolved or fixed shit. All the sites from places like Papa John's, Telepizza, PizzaHut or Domino's are a complete mess and none, I repeat, none work in mobile, so when you're ordering pizza online, you're pretty much doing it like 10 years ago.
My frustration even reached a point where I thought about building a pizza site which wasn't a WTF and sell it to these people.
P.S: And when I say sale I meant, free pizza for ever!

There's an app for that.

I would have to have one of those.
Kidnap someone with a non-Visa and use their card next time.
