I suggest someone on the mod/admin team set up reply via email.
All it takes is a new gmail account and admin access here:

Good news!

I come here for the ads. So I hope this fancy feature doesn't take them away from us.
-
No, I'm sure they will email you the ads by return

Yes, then I shall be very happy and in return for my happiness, they can have my eye-balls glued to their content.

Thanks, but where can I get it? How can I subscribe via email?
Also if you make me moderator, leprechaun like ferries will give you three pots of gold. I have spoken to the ferry leader and he has said this so himself.
Here's his quote:
Ferry leader: If you make @Nagesh - Astute observer of human civilization the moderator on your forum, you'll get 3 pots of gold.

This sort of shameless begging for mod powers is just sad.

Firstly it is not begging. It is bribing. Also if you have ferry gold, you'll never want any other kind ever.

Unless your ferry sinks.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

It means
- Boat ride.
- Magical creature that lives in enchanted forest.

You should have used Heterograph instead of Homophone to explain Nagesh's mistake.
@Nagesh if you are referring to the thing generally pictured as a tiny person with wings that is spelled "fairy".

I suppose that point could be argued, but it seems like it's just pedantry...oh, right.@Nagesh if you are referring to the thing generally pictured as a tiny person with wings that is spelled "fairy".
Aw, you're no fun! I didn't want to just give it to him!

When explaining language mistakes to non-native speakers it is better to explain directly rather than just saying that the word they used has other meanings (especially because you didn't point out that what he wanted is spelled differently).

Actually, fairy is a man who likes other men. Have you heard that usage also?
Edit: Ok. I meant fairy. I will now let that post stand, but I am talking about fairies - magical creatures who give you gold.

Actually, fairy is a man who likes other men.
The slang term stems from the mythology - fairies (tiny people with wings and magic dust) tend to be effeminate, and gay men are stereotypically also effeminate.
Please note: this is not really a nice thing to say. I wouldn't go quite so far as to call it a slur, but it's impolite at least.

And they wear boots.

Dangit, you beat me to it.

Naw, it's been reclaimed. I teach a class in "Comparative Fairy Studies" down at the local community college.

"Comparative Fairy Studies"
Colloquially known as "Gaywatch".
Their banner has a picture of The Hoff, who must not be hassled.

Mostly this means you can press the "reply" button in your email client and reply to any notification emails from discussion here.
Those email replies will be posted here as if you opened your web browser, navigated to the site, and manually composed the reply.
Much faster workflow for mobile, when you don't even have to open the browser (or an "app") to reply at all.

I believe you may be thinking of leprechauns there.

Does Discourse cut off everything after it encounters the first quote
(lines starting with >)? That would explain why only one line of my
message came through (I'm sending this through e-mail again, this time
without any quotes).
