Why is forum not allowing me to edit this post?
Continuing the discussion from Photo Quizzery !:

Clearly Nagesh is a barrier to posting.
And reading.

Nice try, Jeff.

Sweet, in before the lock and all, now I can edit myself to be correct for no one else to see because no one's going to read an old, dead, locked topic (Suggested Topics to Necro might help a bro out though).

I believe @pjh decided edits are disallowed after a day or so and modified the default settings accordingly. The Discourse default is that posts are editable by owners for a year after posting.

The edit times were changed by mutual agreement, after @dhromed decided to disallow public viewing of edit histories, to prevent griefing.

Taken at 2215 UTC/ 2315 local:
Unless this is another case of the infamous rounding mechanism...

yeah its just showing a utc time there, seems to be working fine, only bug is that if you set auto close people that already have it open don't see the auto close banner at the bottom.

Sorry - my intention with that screenshot wasn't clear - it's still stating 2 hrs at the bottom, rather than (with it being so close to the time) 1hr 48mins.
-
Ahh ... we do that on purpose, we add fidelity as it gets closer to the end.

At the 90 minute mark I assume. As I now see "This topic will automatically close in 83 minutes." and @PJH was saying that it was showing 2 hours when it was 106 minutes.
Edit: and I opened a bug on the not populating the auto close banner if it was already open.
-
Actually it appears to be showing local time (or UTC plus 1), not UTC. It would have been 3 hrs if it were UTC...
Timeout below is updating correctly though. Thought you indicated it didn't/wouldn't....?
