SNAKE, YOU'VE CREATED A TIME PARADOX!
-
Expected: posts follow a strict progression of cause to effect
Actual: wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey ball(for the record, the first topic has a post of mine in it made some 5 minutes ago, but it doesn't show up on the latest page. And I got the submit button grayed out while submitting it, so I'm not actually sure it did get processed after all.)
Refreshing and emptying the cache does not help, which is certainly interesting.

Correct?

Corre... um, what?
...have you been hitting the bottle too?

Maybe.... Did it land on you?
If so, truth or dare?

Sad that this isn't a thing.

The solution is to not shoot Ocelot, annoying bastard that he is.
-
@powerlord Not when they can retcon who has been on what side since the very beginning....
Ocelot, you suck as an undercover good guy. I don't care if that's your new backstory.

Are you saying that they've put a time paradox in our world over a time paradox in their world?! Rude!
-
@pydsigner If I could only mod MGS3
I would have put the sound of "OBJECTION!" over the Time Paradox screen.
-
@xaade Well, I think it's a running gag that his real allegiances are only explained in after-credits codec calls.

Wait, what the fuck? Seriously? They retconned that in? What's next, Liquid Snake just wanted REX as a pet, thinking it was a giant robotic T-Rex?
-
@Fox wasn't that the actual story?
-
@Fox I don't know if there was anything in 2, but there were the codec calls in 3, and 4 straight up said he was.
But they flip a lot around in 4.
Basically they tie boss (the woman) in 3 to starting a resistance that is revealed 4 with big boss and eva now leading it, and then everything you knew about the organization solid snake was working for.... pretty much backwards.

Liquid Snake
No, he was still just an ass. And Vamp was also an ass too. Ocelot was keeping things under control, and "protecting" Solid Snake, like he "protected" Big Boss. The organization you fought in MGS1,2, and 3 were still bad.
It's just the organizations in MG1-x were actually the good guys.
Think of it like MGS1/2 bad guys were the suicide squad. MGS3 bad guys were Bane from Dark Knight Rises. And the "good guys" foxhound in MGS 1/2 were the Red Skull infiltrated SHIELD in Captain America 2.

Nope
Headcanon is that they were bad guys and the "good guys" were actually the good guys.
Fuck that shit.
