Guy gets mad at work, and finds creative way to go beserk, wooden table style

  •  It's on youtube so its SFW if it yt isn't blocked. But in case it is definetly make note to view this sometime:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zn5ci099cFc

It's security camera overwatching the cubicles, man goes beserk after printer agitates him, A+++++ would view again.

  • I'm going to call fake on this.

    • The video seems to have too much resolution (and good sound) for a "security camera". Imagine the storage costs associated with keeping this on all the time.
    • The angle seems too perfect for watching the printer only (and hence this action). There are whole swathes of the office that are not being watched.
    • Why does the guy keep looking at the back side of the page? It's as if he is not familiar with which side of the paper the output should be printed
    • The plume of toner seems too strong, too focused, extremely well directed and timed perfectly. I can't see that plume causing the overall dirty pages.
    • When the rage starts it makes no sense that he takes it out on his computer rather than the printer. And why put the monitor on the scanner, as he will still need to print eventually.
    • During the rage, everyone seems to just be calmly watching what he is doing. Even the people closest too him just stand there. My first reaction would to be to get the hell out of there.
    • During the rage, the guy doesn't make a sound. No swearing or anything. I have yet to see anyone who would "quietly" destroy a system without saying a thing.

  • I agree with Oz.  It seems staged.  Funny, but staged.

  •  The resolution and sound quality + camera position capturing his route + actions fully and perfectly would yeah, make it seem hardly real...

Now, if you want real, trying one of the youtube videos (on that page, in the related videos box on the right) about the guy going mad inside the elevator in russia, well that one looks pretty real...

  • I think that was a photocopier next to the printer, rather than a scanner; whilst still probably staged, this was a representation of a creative but unwise workaround rather than just someone hauling off and hitting things.

    • the thing is on his screen, so in some desperate computer-stupid way, he's trying to copy it.
    • that would be most people's reactions: to stand and look WTF'd.
    • Some people, like me, don't scream or shout. No really. I never do. I would destroy quietly. I do swear and mutter a lot, though.

My all-time favorite is the classic BAD DAY video. That one was such a hit it managed to creep around NETBIOS shared folders, e-mail systems, USENET groups and pretty much any media allowing to send "big" files. Note that this video predates YouTube for almost a decade, so having said video viewed by so many people is a commendable feat for those times. Note that many mailboxes had something like 1Mb quotas back then; Hotmail was 2Mb for a long time, even after Yahoo released 250Mb and Gmail took off.

  •  well, in my pursuit to find the best office pyschos:
